Nestbilities Update and Pre-order button!
Hi Scrappers!
I spoke to Spellbinders today and the back ordered Nestabilities are still (literally and figuratively) on a slowboat from China! They were due to arrive last Friday, March 7th, and still have not arrived. They are hoping to have them this Friday, March 14th. If you know anything about China, they have what is called the “Chinese New Year” and it lasts almost the entire month of February. Everything shuts down and no production or shipping is done at this time. This is a difficult for ALL retailers who have anything manufactured in China. Once this initial shipments arrives, Spellbinders expects to have shipments arriving every two weeks. BTW, this first shipment that has not arrived yet, is already sold out! So what this means is we will probably have to be a bit more patient, especially for the March orders. I don’t have any idea of how soon I will be able to ship the March orders as I have stacks of orders for the end of January and all of February that will be going out first. I probably hold the record for most back orders at Spellbinders (should I be proud of that?…hmmmm….). The other Spellbinders products (Wizards, S3 and S4 dies, stamps, etc.) are also taking about a month now to ship. I keep ordering more inventory and it is flying off the shelves, thanks to all of you!
Which brings me to a question a lot of you have been asking – can you combine your February Nest order with your March Nest order to save on shipping? That is a reasonable question to ask, that on the surface makes a lot of sense. When you think it through however, it really isn’t advisable and I will tell you why. I ship in the order I receive your orders. That means the January and February orders will go out before the March orders. If I hold your Jan/Feb order for your March order, you probably won’t receive ANYTHING until April. April is a long time to wait for something you ordered in January/February! So what about the savings on shipping, you ask? One Nestabilities set (four dies) ships domestically for $6.10. Two sets of Nestabilities (eight dies) ships in a flat rate box for $10.45. Two sets of Nestabilities shipped separately, a month apart, is $12.20. The savings for you to combine your orders and ship them together would only amount to $1.75! Not worth it Scrappers! You have already waited soooo long and been soooo patient, why push yourselves any farther? For all my lovely International customers (hi there!!), it may work out a little differently for you. One flat rate envelope for you is $11.95. A priority box is about $25.00-30.00. Two flat rates are $23.90. BUT you will have to pay more VAT or customs charges because the value of your package increases. I don’t think it will work out to your advantage.
Nest up, I mean Next up (a little Nestabilities humor there – teehee)……
The Pre-order feature is here!! Check it out! It is on the home page – a big purple button you can’t miss. Click on it and it will take you to all the items that are available for pre-order! All I have on there for now is Spellbinders. The Long Rectangles and Tag dies are all due in April and the Xcalibur is due in September! PLEASE NOTE ABOUT THE VIP COUPON!! I know I am going to get a lot of questions about this, so listen up! You can’t use the VIP coupon on the pre-order – only on the actual order! For example, if you pre-order the NEST 07 in March, you can not use the March VIP coupon. You have to wait for the item to arrive at Spellbinders before you can place your order. I will notify you when it is available and you will have 48 hours to place your order. You will then place your order, and enter your VIP coupon for the current month in the order comments section, like you always do. All the pre-order does is give me an idea of how many of which items I need to order and gives you the opportunity to be one of the first ones to have it! We don’t have any information on the size of the Long Rectangles yet. All we know is they are bigger than the Classic Rectangles and the other Megabilities are 4×6.
Okay, I think that is it. You have all been marvelous and I appreciate your support of our little store so much. Many of you have been asking about me and my little family, how the wedding went, etc. I will be posting some pictures and a little info about me and my family in the future. Thank you for all the cards you send me. I want you to know that I have every single one of them on my bulletin board in my office. I love them! They inspire me to take better care of my customers and to do all I can to make your shopping a fun and pleasurable experience!
Now, stop reading my blog and get shopping!!
Happy Scrappin’!
