Cut@Home gives back!
For the last two years, Cut@Home has been wearing pink ribbons, actively donating product and proceeds to the fight against breast cancer. It is now time to help another charity! We have chosen “From HIV to Home”. This organization works to connect HIV+ orphans with adoptive families. Worldwide there are more than 15 million children that have lost one or both parents to AIDS. 2.3 million children are HIV+ themselves. Without access to treatment, many of these children die; while with access to treatment and the care of a family, they could live long healthy lives! From HIV to Home seeks to pave a road home for these children. They provide education, training, and community for HIV+ adoptive families, together with adoption grants and fundraising assistance. They also partner with international organizations providing care for HIV+ orphans through grants toward specific needed projects. And they need our help!
We first found out about “From HIV to Home” through our web designer extraordinaire, Steve. Many of you have been enjoying the fruits of Steve’s hard work while you have been wandering around on our site. He is also hard at work on something else – increasing his family! Steve and his wife Sage are adopting a darling 5 year old girl from Ethiopia. Ethiopia has strict rules regarding the privacy of their adoptions, so we can’t share her name or picture with you, but she is a doll and will surely delight their home. We want to do what we can to help Steve’s new little girl and others like her, and we felt pretty sure our customers would want to help too. 100% of your donations go to the charity. We are donating our administration of the funds FREE, so ALL your money goes to these blessed babies! You know you have always wanted to give something back and do something worthwhile, so now is your chance. The donations are accepted on the checkout page.
Thanks for your generosity. Have a great weekend.
Marcie
