A comparison on the Spellbinders Scalloped Nestabilities
Have you wondered what the difference is between the Spellbinders Scalloped Nestabilities? I know I have always found it difficult to try and explain the different sizes of the scallops to customers on the phone. Well, Beth from the Spellbinders design team took this great photo of the three different scallops!
A picture is worth a thousand words! As you can see the petite scallops are a little smaller and closer together and the big scallops are farther apart and give you a wider scallop. So when you are looking for which scallop to buy, the size of the SCALLOP is described as either petite, classic or big. The size of the DIE is small or large.
I hope this helps.
Happy Scrappin!

If only I had been able to see this when I first started to buy Nesties. I was totally confused by large, small, petite, classic etc., it was almost more complicated than buying a coffee in Starbucks!
You’re quite right about the pictures being worth 1000 words too!
Brilliant!

You are not the only one who can’t remember what she bought Kelli! Carrie from our customer service department can help you with this dilemma. Have your tape measure and your Nestabilities ready and call her at 801-553-2256, and she will walk you through it! Good luck!

This is great. Thanks so much for the picture. It makes more sense to me now. I have just started using my Nesties and really like them but I do find all the different sizes a little confusing, not know what I really need. Your picture helps a lot, at least seeing the different sizes of the scallops. I need all the help I can get to figure this wonderful product out.
THANKS!

Is there a place that lists the sizes of each die in each set? I know I can find the info under each die set, but to compare back and forth when you have to keep bringing up each set. Perhaps in your blog you could have a thread with different size dies in each set. Like how you have all the directions for using them with the different die cut machines all in one place.
It would be nice if Spelbinders etched the dies with their sizes, or a letter, ie: a-f or g depending on the number of dies in the set. If they combined this with the number of set itself. Example S4-112 F. You would know exactly which set and die you had. Very useful if you have small and large size of the same thing. The inner and outer most dies are easy to determine, the others less so when putting away, and especially when making directions for a project. Many say “2nd die in”, but some count in to out and others the opposite.
Thanks for your listening.

When I buy the nesties I take them out of the original package and store them on magnetic sheets. I write the name of the nestie on a while label and put it on the magnetic sheet along with the nesties. This helps a lot.

Brenda, that is a great idea! I will see what I can do about having the sizes somewhere on our blog. I will also pass your suggestion along to Spellbinders. The dies can get confusing and since they nest so tightly, I have a hard time figuring out which one I used if I want to recreate something
Thanks!

Gals, Spellbinders has all of the die template sizes listed on their website, http://www.spellbinders.blogspot.com. Look under the “Products” heading, find your set and click on it. You’ll see all of the sizes listed under the description.
I also have a spreadsheet of all of the current die templates on my blog (I’m on the DT, so this is directly from Spellbinders) if any of you are interested -www.scrapbookczar.blogspot.com. Click on the photo of the Wizard in the right column.
Happy Cutting!

Sally, That is the link they gave us. Spellbinders must have a broken link somewhere. Here is the correct link to their blog: http://spellbinderspaperarts.com/blog/
Thanks!
