Cut@Home Blog - Scrapbooking & Card Making Ideas

Heartfelt Creations Wedding Collection!

Okay ladies and gents, I finally had a chance to play with the new Heartfelt Creations Wedding Collection Stamp Sets! I just can’t get over the incredible detail that their artists put into them! They are so beautiful! These cling stamps are so easy to use with any acrylic block!

I am a bit behind in scrapbooking my daughter’s wedding, so I took the opportunity to use these gorgeous stamps to create a layout of her wedding day! I used Bella Rose Wedding, Wedding Sentiments and Bella Rose Heart. I cut the scalloped piece from the DCWV Linen Closet Paper Stack using my Sizzix Big Shot Pro Machine and the Bigz Pro Die Square Scallop.  The background piece is from DCWV Shimmer Paper Stack. To complete the ensemble, I used K & Company stickers, Want2Scrap Silver Baby Bling, heart rhinestones, paper doilies and a heart corner punch.

Now I can’t wait to use the other sets in the Wedding Collection! These really make fabulous embellishments for layouts as well as amazing bridal or wedding cards! Now is the perfect time to get yours, as summertime is the busiest time for weddings!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Carrie

    Hi Carrie,
How did you make the heart frame/mat the pictures are in? I have been trying to learn how to do that for so long. I can’t search on google very well because it always shows me how to make picture frames or mats you buy at the store. I have to use a ruler and try cutting paper to put the picture on. it doesn’t look good. i have tried creating memories shape tools and they don’t look good and they are very expensive. I am trying to find a die cut machine that will make squares and rectangles to use as mats/frames but am not having much luck. Spellbinders Nestabilites look awesome but to small to use as mats for 4×6 pictures. if i go that route then i need to buy a die cut machine, been looking on ebay. Anyway, any help you can give me would be appreciated!!
    Thanks!!
    Elaine

    Hi Elaine,
Would you believe corner punches? If I remember right, the heart punch I used is by Fiskars. I cut the mat using my paper trimmer, then just use a heart corner punch! The mat is approximately 1/2″ larger than the photo to leave room for the punch. I used a double mat for the pictures in this particular blog post. The bottom mat is cut 1/2″ larger than the top mat!
That’s all I do! I am an easy scrapbooker! I don’t get time to make things to difficult! :)
