4th Of July Layout and card!
Time to celebrate our country’s Independence Day and I have an easy 4th of July Layout and Card to show you using Heartfelt Creations Garden Romance Collection, so pull out your markers and ink pads! These aren’t your standard 4th of July stars and stripes or even fireworks on this layout, but I did use a striped background. Instead, I used stamps with blue birdhouses and red roses. If you want to find patriotic items you can find them in our Patriotic Theme HERE.
The standard red, white and blue are lots of fun to work with and makes coordinating paper a breeze. I cut the stripes out of white card stock and inked both sides with blue ink. I still have not yet invested in Copic Markers (I have a bad habit of spending my change on other things like more dies!), so I pulled out my Stampin’ Up markers which work for me, stamped my images and started coloring away. Here is the result of my play:
Products used:
HCPC 3476 Heartfelt Creations Mailbox Surprise
HCPC 3475 Special Delivery
HCPC 3477 Bird Haven
HCD 723 Garden Romance Die
S4-116 Spellbinders Standard Circles Small
DC0252 Quickutz Lace
DA0311 Sugar Cookie
White Ric-Rac
1/4″ Scor-Tape
I used my trusty Cuttlebug to cut the dies but had to use the 13″ plates with the Lace border die. You can find them HERE.
I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday and that you get great photos to scrapbook! While most of you will be watching parades and fireworks, I will be taking a few days relaxing at Lake Powell with my family. Don’t worry, Stacy and I will still post on our blog with the exception of the 4th, so be sure to check in for ideas and tips!
Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
Carrie
