Quickutz Cookie Cutter Border Dies
There are a variety of border dies on the market, but the Quickutz Cookie Cutter Border Dies by Lifestyle Crafts are rather unique. First of all, they are NOT for use to cut cookie dough, so don’t even try! Cookie Cutter is just the type of die, so named because the die is shaped around the cutting edge like a cookie cutter. Please don’t get them confused! Some Cookie Cutter dies have more substance than others. The dies I demonstrated in the following video from the Pool Party Collection are only an outline of the shape. Very simple. See HERE for a great selection of border dies.
The scrapbook layout I am showing you today is primarily made up of border dies! The only other thing I used is an ink pad and an alphabet for my title! Can you say QUICK & EASY? That’s right, this layout took about 30 min. to complete!
Products used:
Cardstock
DC0338 Quickutz Sun & Clouds
DC0339 Quickutz Waves
DA0082 Quickutz Whirlpool Alphabet
20257 Tim Holtz Weathered Wood Distress Ink
Tape runner
That’s it! So fast, so simple, yet I love how it turned out!
In this video, I show you what these dies look like and how to use them with the Genius Ultimate Platform System (see HERE) in my Sizzix Big Shot Machine. Of course this is basic instruction. There is no limit to what you can do with border dies! Cut them up for cards, embellishments frames….you name it! Use your imagination!
Have a great time with your border dies! I challenge you to create a layout using all border dies. You will have a blast!
Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
