Cut@Home Blog - Scrapbooking & Card Making Ideas

Carriage Activity Book

It’s time to feed that inner princess that you or a girly family member possesses! The Want2Scrap Chipboard Carriage Album is the perfect way to make your own Carriage Activity Book that a little princess is sure to love! Get some snazzy glitter, some beautiful paper and you’re well on your way!

A lot of the chipboard albums I’ve made become mini scrapbooks, which is wonderful! I thought I was going to make this for my daughters third birthday and fill it with pictures from her party, but we ended up moving to a place where we had no friends to invite to a party, so I started thinking of other ideas for this little beauty. My daughter is OBSESSED with three things in her life right now. Princesses, the alphabet, and counting….so that’s what this book is all about. A little bit of something that my little princess loves!

For the cover, I used LOTS of glitter, glitter, glitter. I used liquid glue to adhere it and went crazy with making it sparkly enough to carry a princess. I will tell you one secret. I have tried making these albums in the past by cutting out the paper with scissors. Save your time, effort, and that inner anger management problem and invest in THIS incredibly inexpensive and wonderful craft knife! It will work wonders for your crafting and your happiness. These albums are so easy if you have a craft knife. Seriously, I cannot stress this enough!

Next come the pages. I will tell you beforehand that these pages are more on the un-embellished side for a reason. I want Claire (my daughter) to embellish these herself. It’s a princess activity book and I’m sure she will fill every empty space with a beautiful sticker and enjoy every second of it. The first page, I created a pocket out of the Spellbinders 5X7 Branching Out die and placed the stickers in the pocket. I then cut out some blank ovals for her to place her stickers on.

I apologize that the pictures aren’t better. I had to take them quickly to make the pinning little girl happy! “MOMMY! Take pictures so I can play with mine carriage, PLEASE! I really want my carriage.” She hasn’t stopped looking at the ABC’s and counting since she got it. Success!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

You’re right! We’ve been told that the activity book is already covered with princess stickers and that Claire is carrying it all over singing ABC’s and counting, so she is getting a lot of use out of her little princess book.
