We are extremely excited to FINALLY welcome new Cut At Home Design Team members Cheryl Harwick and Patti Senter! We are so pleased to be able to expand our design team and we are confident you will love what they have to share, as they are very talented ladies!
Let’s begin by introduceing them!
Cheryl Harwick lives in Perrysburg, Ohio. She loves to sew, knit and crochet, embroider, etc. She is always working on a project and enjoys sharing her love of crafting with others, and for a number of years has taught classes including counted thread embroidery (linen work and specialty stitches), soft sculpture, and knitting, etc. She is a Certified Intermediate Copic Designer and teaches primarily technique classes, where she teaches participants how to more effectively use their
She enjoys making cards for Operation Write Home, and has organized a small group at my LSS (local scrapbook store) to support the organization. Their goal is 1,200 cards for this first year, and they also hope to make others aware of
the organization and to recruit their support.
Patti Senter lives in Washington, Utah. She and her husband Paul have three grown children and 5 grandchildren. She is interested in photography and graphic arts programs like Paint Shop Pro and Photo Shop and enjoys Digital Scrapbooking.
While on vacation in Arizona she went to meet a Designer whom she had been doing pages showcasing her digital kits. She was an avid all around crafter, using paper, digital and lots of other mediums as well. Before their visit ended she sent a shopping bag home with Patti filled with paper, stamps, bling, stickers, inks etc. That was the seed. She resisted the urge to try anything new for a few months and then decided she’d try just a card. Well cards evolved into mini albums, which evolved into some altered art, which she hopes will some day evolve into art journaling.
Her inspiration comes from family and friends. There is always an event like a new baby, a graduation, a wedding or a birthday cropping up in her family and she enjoys making and giving new graduates and married couples a mini album. Family and friends receive greeting cards on their special days. Her Grandkids have received ‘Books of Me’ and Special occasion books. She loves it and it makes her happy.
This concludes our brief introduction of these two ladies, but you will get to know them better as they begin to demonstrate their wonderful talents in their blog posts. They will begin the second week in September, so be watching for them! Cheryl will be Tuesdays and Patti on Thursdays.
I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us with the various products that we sent to them! Each designer received a box of “goodies”, samples from the various manufacturers we carry, such as Spellbinders, Bo Bunny, Heartfelt Creations and Sizzix, to get them started. They were both very excited with what they received and can’t wait to play!
Thanks & Happy Scrappin’!
