Halloween is such a fun Holiday. My Grandkids always look forward to getting a little something in the mail from me, so this year I decided to do Halloween Matchboxes filled with surprises. I had a larger matchbox in my kitchen, the kind filled with wooden matches, so I took it apart and made a template to create these cuties.
Here you can see the boxes on the left closed And on the right filled with Halloween pretties I found at Pier 1. I intend on sticking a little money in as well, who doesn’t like getting a little of the green stuff? You can see that each box has a different type of handle pull on, anyting from cording to bottle caps to a built up fussy cut character from the paper will make a great little drawer pull.
These two boxes were made using Bo Bunny’s Fright Delight collection. What cute papers these are ! I fussy cut a lot of the little Halloween Characters from the paper to prop up on the tops of the boxes. And lined the inside and outside of the box as well. From my stash I finished off with little bit and pieces to create that spooky Halloween feel. I wanted some type of shredding to lay the little guys on in the drawer. Taking a sheet of purple and one of black cardstock, I ran them through my crimper and then my paper shredder. Voila paper shreds in just the color you need!
The last box used Graphic 45′s Steampunk Spells . Oh how I love this paper! Such wonderful designs to make any project sing. I used some cut aparts and one of the flowers from the Steampunk Spells Flower Collection then finished off with a few of my stash items.
Why don’t you make all your Ghosts and Goblins a cute little Matchbox goodie box too?
