Graphic 45 Little Darlings and Olde Curiosity Shoppe Paper!

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

I have no doubt said this before, but I am in awe of the Graphic 45 design team! They are amazing! Seeing their booth at CHA is eye candy! !

Did you know that when a person sees something pleasing to them, their pupils dilate 45%? (Just a bit of trivia I read while standing in line at my credit union one day.) Well, my pupils dilate at least that when I see the goodies in their booth! I just can’t get over being able to cover so many different objects with paper, and such gorgeous paper at that. I just want to take it all home with me! Good thing they won’t let me!!!!

We are expecting our shipment from them any hour now which contains the Little Darlings and Olde Curiosity Shoppe products! Yippee!!!!

You can see for yourselves what I mean. Here are some pics from their booth.

Here are some projects out of the Kraft Reflections:

Sheesh! I think I could fill a whole album with just the pictures I took in the G 45 booth! As you can tell, I may have gone a bit overboard, but everything was just so incredible! Have I told you that I have a thing for antiques (or even replicas)? Well, cover it in paper (because I am a paper junkie) and I go a little crazy! Anyway, you get the idea!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Meeting Teresa Collins At CHA!

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012

Wow! I can’t believe how long it has taken me to show you everything from CHA, and I’m not done yet! We saw so much and I only took pictures of a fraction of it!

I was so excited to meet with Teresa Collins in her lovely booth! I follow her blog and I just think she is such an incredible woman. It is such an honor to visit with her, especially since we took her away for a few moments right in the middle of a book signing! I am grateful for the sweet lady who was gracious enough to let me and Tauna steal Teresa away from her for a photo!

It is no wonder that Teresa is where she is. She is not only extremely talented, but she is genuinely sweet and caring of others. She is strong in her faith, family and in her determination. She is also realistic.

As I read her blog, I am lifted up because I know that even those we look up to have off days, but the key is to keep trying to do our best everyday! She is very reassuring in her blog, and I appreciate her expressing her thoughts and feelings so openly to everyone. That is not an easy thing for most people! Thank you Teresa for not only giving us lovely products to craft with, but for being so genuine! Keep up the great work!

Here are just a few samples of what she had on display in her booth.

Aren’t they beautiful? I thought you would like them! I am crazy about her new designs! Of course, I think I say that every time she comes out with something new! I swear it’s true! We are expecting more of her new products any day now!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Want2Scrap’s Fun Chipboard Elements!

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Do you like chipboard? I know I do! I don’t know if you have seen some of the latest chipboard items from Want2Scrap, so I will show you a few of the things I thought were fun!

Birdcages and dress forms seem to be all the rage now, and I can totally see why. They are really beautiful! I want to create my own framed art using these items for my own house! My kitchen is decorated in birdhouses, so why not add some cages too! I think my craft room would be perfect to display a dress form or two!

These photos are from the Want2Scrap booth at CHA. Take a look and see what you think!

I love the new chipboard albums! Yes, I have already ordered mine and I can’t wait until our shipment arrives!

For those of you who like to put together your own bling designs, you should like these! Want2Scrap Build Your Own Bling was created by the very talented and insightful Donna Salazar.

Sorry for the flash spot, but you can at least get the idea! These will be a lot of fun to design with!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Heartfelt Creations Booth At CHA 2012!

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

If you have never had the opportunity to meet the team from Heartfelt Creations, I would like to tell you that you are missing out! They are some of the most gracious, thoughtful, sweet people I have been privileged to meet. It is no wonder that their stamps are so beautiful! The images on their stamps reflect the souls of the people that create them.  (Now you know my opinion) They are awesome!

As you will see in the photos, their designers are amazing! Me and Tauna were able to round up Richard and Emma Lou for a quick picture in their booth. Of course they were happy to oblige. I always look forward to seeing them at CHA!

I love making new friends and having fun while working at the same time! It doesn’t feel like work at all when you are meeting great new people! My motto- A stranger is a friend waiting to happen! (I don’t know where I got that from, but I love it!)

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Introducing First Edition Paper Stacks!

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

Oh my gosh, I am so excited to tell you about the new line of paper from First Edition that we found at CHA and have decided to bring on! I had goose bumps all over when I saw how pretty these paper stacks are! The patterns are incredible and I love the weight! Most pads have half double sided and the other half with glitter, so you get the best of both worlds!I can honestly say that the pictures in our store do NOT do them justice! As a certified paper junkie, I can only tell you that you will have to see them in person to be a believer! I experienced love at first sight when I saw these!

First Edition is a relevantly young company and all of us are absolutely thrilled to introduce their line of pads to our customers here at Cut@Home!

I was able to snap some photos in their booth to share with you. Hopefully they will help give you an idea of how beautiful they really are! I love what their designers have done!

Well, what do you think? Pretty sweet, huh! I thought you would think so! I am definitely going to have one of everything! Did I tell you that I need to knock out a wall already?

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

I Am Such A Spellbinders Cut, Fold & Tuck Fan!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

Today I would like to share a couple of my favorite pics from CHA! I don’t have photos of the Spellbinders booth since we previewed so many of their new items during the Blog Frenzy, but better than that, I conned Terre and Margie from Spellbinders to let me have a picture with them! These ladies are so talented and fun, and I have been lucky to get acquainted with them over the phone and at CHA!

Margie demonstrated some of the new dies, then helped me make a card using the new Cut, Fold and Tuck dies. Oh my gosh, they are cool! They are so easy and look incredible once they are all put together! I am SO in love with the woven look! They are totally my favorite dies of this new release and I have a feeling they will be an extremely HOT item.  The Romantic Rectangles come in a close second for me (no, it is not because of the name). Currently, these items are still listed in our Pre-Order category until our first shipment arrives.

I had a great time at the Spellbinders booth last week! These ladies like to laugh as much as I do, so that, along with the make & takes and demos made it lots of fun to be at their booth!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Quickutz CHA 2012 Booth!

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

I first fell in love with die cutting years ago when I saw Quickutz 2 x 2″ dies in a tiny scrapbook supply store here in Utah. They were the first I had ever seen, and I just HAD to have some of those cute little dies! I went Quickutz crazy! Now, I have lost count of how many I own, and I have expanded my collection to include 4 x4″, 4 x 8″, Cookie Cutter and Nesting dies! Of course, I have also expanded my collection of dies to include other brands also. There are so many pretty ones out there!

Let’s just say, I am a die junkie as well as a paper junkie. I seriously can’t help myself, and to be completely honest, I don’t want to stop! (My husband keeps teasing that we will have to knock out a wall to expand my craft room. Hmm….I may have to take him up on it soon!)

I am stoked about the new dies and embossing folders that Quickutz will be releasing over the next few months! I’m sure you will be too! I want to share some of the pictures of project that they had in their booth at Winter CHA last week.

Pretty cute! Right? Do you see why these are so addicting? Well, if you are reading this, you are probably suffering from the same addiction. Scratch that! We’re not suffering, we’re ENJOYING the same addiction! It is good to do something you enjoy everyday.

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

We’re Back From Winter 2012 CHA Show!

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Well, we’re back from CHA and I personally wish I would have missed my flight and had to stay there! It was so nice and warm in Anaheim and I woke up to snow this morning here in Utah!

The show was fabulous! I saw so many new products and ideas that my head is still swimming! I also achieved my goal of getting my picture taken with Tim Holtz! Yay! Tauna is on the right and I am on the left (your left). I told her that she may not have met Mickey Mouse but she got to meet Tim Holtz instead, and that is even better for those of us in the crafting world!

So, now that you’ve seen Tim Holtz, I can move on to what we saw at the show. This will take a few blogs, so be prepared!

Our first stop is at JustRite Stampers. I absolutelyadore their ocean themed stamps! I also love that so many of their stamps coordinate with Spellbinders dies and that they work with Spellbinders to create their own exclusive dies to coordinate their stamps! I really want to show you some of the beautiful projects their talented designers have done, so here is your virtual tour of their booth!

This last one is a great example of the Spellbinders Edgeabilities! I hope you enjoyed seeing a few these fantastic projects from the JustRite Stampers booth! They had so many, it was very difficult to choose which to show you! Check back tomorrow for more fun from CHA!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

We have arrived to the final day of Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy already! Now, there’s no need for tears. We can look forward to seeing more of the CHA releases soon! We have only seen a portion of the release, and trust me, there is still more to come! I believe patience is a virtue many of us crafters still have to work on, myself included!

With that said, let’s get moving on today’s frenzy! We have been given a treat today of four amazing designers sharing their talents with us on the projects they have created with the Spellbinders products they have been given to work with. I continue to be in awe every day!

We begin with designer Gloria Stengel using the S5-102 Aster Flower Topper Shapeabilities  and E8-012 Classic Decorative Inserts Four on her get well window card and sunflower tag. I know I would feel better instantly if I received one of these! Adorable Gloria!

Product Sizes:

2. Dots: 3/4 x 8″
3. Large Flowers: 1 x 8″

Designer Nina Brackett has made some very personal gifts with the dies she was presented with. She has designed two unique necklaces with coordinating cards using S5-088 Sewing Elements  and S5-089 Home Sweet Home shapeabilities. She cut and embossed the shapes out of shrink film,  using markers for highlighting and stamping different designs on them before baking. Ingenious Nina!

Product Sizes:

1. Spool: 1 1/2 x 2″
2. Machine: 2 1/2 x 2 1/8″
3. Pin Cushion: 1 7/8 x 1 7/8″

8. 4 Petal Flower small: 1/2″
9. 8 Petal Flower: 5/8″
10. Wings: 2 1/4 x 1″
11. Round Tag: 1 1/4 x 1″
12. Rectangle Tag: 1 1/4 x 7/8″

I can’t even tell you how much I already love the new M-Bossabilities folders! I am thrilled that Spellbinders thought to utilize both sides of the folder with different, but coordinating patterns. Not only does it save storage space, but it saves time not having to switch folders! This was a brilliant idea in my book!

Designer Tina McDonald makes great use of the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ ES-001 Simplicity M-Bossabilities on her trinket box and tag. She was also given the S5-068 Decorative Dress Forms shapeabilities which she incorporated beautifully on these projects.  I believe she also snuck in a few other new items! I’ll let you figure out which ones. Fabulous projects Tina!

Product Sizes:

1. Lattice: 1 7/8 x 2 1/4″
2. Scalloped: 2 1/8 x 2 5/8″
3. Plain: 1 3/4 x 3 1/8″
4. Swirls: 1 3/4 x 3 1/8″

Our final designer for this incredible Blog Frenzy is….(drum roll please!) Windy Robinson! I don’t even want to know how long it took her to roll all of these gorgeous flowers! At first I thought they were real and that the project was the box, but then I saw the dies she was using! Wow! This is over the top Windy! She did a fabulous job creating her beautiful flower box and card using the following dies. Just take a look for yourselves!

I believe we have been extremely blessed with inspiration over the past eight days. Don’t you think? In behalf of  Cut@Home, I would like to express our appreciation to Spellbinders and their designers for permitting us to be included in this wonderful Blog Frenzy. Thank you so much!

I would also like to thank you, our customers, for participating with us! It has been lots of fun!

**Reminder- If you have already placed a pre-order and would like additional pre-order items, you can add to your existing pre-order at any time during the pre-order season! This will save you shipping!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
