Introducing First Addition Paper Stacks!

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

Oh my gosh, I am so excited to tell you about the new line of paper from First Edition that we found at CHA and have decided to bring on! I had goose bumps all over when I saw how pretty these paper stacks are! The patterns are incredible and I love the weight! Most pads have half double sided and the other half with glitter, so you get the best of both worlds!I can honestly say that the pictures in our store do NOT do them justice! As a certified paper junkie, I can only tell you that you will have to see them in person to be a believer! I experienced love at first sight when I saw these!

First Edition is a relevantly young company and all of us are absolutely thrilled to introduce their line of pads to our customers here at Cut@Home!

I was able to snap some photos in their booth to share with you. Hopefully they will help give you an idea of how beautiful they really are! I love what their designers have done!

I Am Such A Spellbinders Cut, Fold & Tuck Fan!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

Today I would like to share a couple of my favorite pics from CHA! I don’t have photos of the Spellbinders booth since we previewed so many of their new items during the Blog Frenzy, but better than that, I conned Terre and Margie from Spellbinders to let me have a picture with them! These ladies are so talented and fun, and I have been lucky to get acquainted with them over the phone and at CHA!

Margie demonstrated some of the new dies, then helped me make a card using the new Cut, Fold and Tuck dies. Oh my gosh, they are cool! They are so easy and look incredible once they are all put together! I am SO in love with the woven look! They are totally my favorite dies of this new release and I have a feeling they will be an extremely HOT item.  The Romantic Rectangles come in a close second for me (no, it is not because of the name). Currently, these items are still listed in our Pre-Order category until our first shipment arrives.

I had a great time at the Spellbinders booth last week! These ladies like to laugh as much as I do, so that, along with the make & takes and demos made it lots of fun to be at their booth!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Quickutz CHA 2012 Booth!

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

I first fell in love with die cutting years ago when I saw Quickutz 2 x 2″ dies in a tiny scrapbook supply store here in Utah. They were the first I had ever seen, and I just HAD to have some of those cute little dies! I went Quickutz crazy! Now, I have lost count of how many I own, and I have expanded my collection to include 4 x4″, 4 x 8″, Cookie Cutter and Nesting dies! Of course, I have also expanded my collection of dies to include other brands also. There are so many pretty ones out there!

Let’s just say, I am a die junkie as well as a paper junkie. I seriously can’t help myself, and to be completely honest, I don’t want to stop! (My husband keeps teasing that we will have to knock out a wall to expand my craft room. Hmm….I may have to take him up on it soon!)

I am stoked about the new dies and embossing folders that Quickutz will be releasing over the next few months! I’m sure you will be too! I want to share some of the pictures of project that they had in their booth at Winter CHA last week.

Pretty cute! Right? Do you see why these are so addicting? Well, if you are reading this, you are probably suffering from the same addiction. Scratch that! We’re not suffering, we’re ENJOYING the same addiction! It is good to do something you enjoy everyday.

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

We’re Back From Winter 2012 CHA Show!

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Well, we’re back from CHA and I personally wish I would have missed my flight and had to stay there! It was so nice and warm in Anaheim and I woke up to snow this morning here in Utah!

The show was fabulous! I saw so many new products and ideas that my head is still swimming! I also achieved my goal of getting my picture taken with Tim Holtz! Yay! Tauna is on the right and I am on the left (your left). I told her that she may not have met Mickey Mouse but she got to meet Tim Holtz instead, and that is even better for those of us in the crafting world!

So, now that you’ve seen Tim Holtz, I can move on to what we saw at the show. This will take a few blogs, so be prepared!

Our first stop is at JustRite Stampers. I absolutelyadore their ocean themed stamps! I also love that so many of their stamps coordinate with Spellbinders dies and that they work with Spellbinders to create their own exclusive dies to coordinate their stamps! I really want to show you some of the beautiful projects their talented designers have done, so here is your virtual tour of their booth!

This last one is a great example of the Spellbinders Edgeabilities! I hope you enjoyed seeing a few these fantastic projects from the JustRite Stampers booth! They had so many, it was very difficult to choose which to show you! Check back tomorrow for more fun from CHA!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy-Day Eight!

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

We have arrived to the final day of Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy already! Now, there’s no need for tears. We can look forward to seeing more of the CHA releases soon! We have only seen a portion of the release, and trust me, there is still more to come! I believe patience is a virtue many of us crafters still have to work on, myself included!

With that said, let’s get moving on today’s frenzy! We have been given a treat today of four amazing designers sharing their talents with us on the projects they have created with the Spellbinders products they have been given to work with. I continue to be in awe every day!

We begin with designer Gloria Stengel using the S5-102 Aster Flower Topper Shapeabilities  and E8-012 Classic Decorative Inserts Four on her get well window card and sunflower tag. I know I would feel better instantly if I received one of these! Adorable Gloria!

Product Sizes:

2. Dots: 3/4 x 8″
3. Large Flowers: 1 x 8″

Designer Nina Brackett has made some very personal gifts with the dies she was presented with. She has designed two unique necklaces with coordinating cards using S5-088 Sewing Elements  and S5-089 Home Sweet Home shapeabilities. She cut and embossed the shapes out of shrink film,  using markers for highlighting and stamping different designs on them before baking. Ingenious Nina!

Product Sizes:

1. Spool: 1 1/2 x 2″
2. Machine: 2 1/2 x 2 1/8″
3. Pin Cushion: 1 7/8 x 1 7/8″

10. Wings: 2 1/4 x 1″
11. Round Tag: 1 1/4 x 1″
12. Rectangle Tag: 1 1/4 x 7/8″

I can’t even tell you how much I already love the new M-Bossabilities folders! I am thrilled that Spellbinders thought to utilize both sides of the folder with different, but coordinating patterns. Not only does it save storage space, but it saves time not having to switch folders! This was a brilliant idea in my book!

Designer Tina McDonald makes great use of the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ ES-001 Simplicity M-Bossabilities on her trinket box and tag. She was also given the S5-068 Decorative Dress Forms shapeabilities which she incorporated beautifully on these projects.  I believe she also snuck in a few other new items! I’ll let you figure out which ones. Fabulous projects Tina!

Product Sizes:

1. Lattice: 1 7/8 x 2 1/4″
2. Scalloped: 2 1/8 x 2 5/8″
3. Plain: 1 3/4 x 3 1/8″
4. Swirls: 1 3/4 x 3 1/8″

Our final designer for this incredible Blog Frenzy is….(drum roll please!) Windy Robinson! I don’t even want to know how long it took her to roll all of these gorgeous flowers! At first I thought they were real and that the project was the box, but then I saw the dies she was using! Wow! This is over the top Windy! She did a fabulous job creating her beautiful flower box and card using the following dies. Just take a look for yourselves!

Flower: 4 3/8″

EL-oo5 Splendid M-Bossabilities

I believe we have been extremely blessed with inspiration over the past eight days. Don’t you think? In behalf of  Cut@Home, I would like to express our appreciation to Spellbinders and their designers for permitting us to be included in this wonderful Blog Frenzy. Thank you so much!

I would also like to thank you, our customers, for participating with us! It has been lots of fun!

Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy-Day Seven!

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Here we are, already on day seven of Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy! Can you believe it? Only two days left! I am in awe of today’s products and designer projects! We have some spectacular things to show you today, so let’s not waste another minute!

Designer Linda Duke introduces Spellbinders first item of the day S5-090 Romantic Rectangles Nestabilities with two projects that fit the name! There is most definitely an elegant, romantic touch to her projects which truly proves paper crafting an art! These are wonderful Linda!

Product sizes:

1. 1 1/4 x 1″
2. 2 7/8 x 1 7/8″
3. 4 1/4 x 2 3/4″
4. 5 7/8 x 3 7/8″

There must be a romance in the air, because designer Sherry Cheever has designed her projects with a similar feel. The intricate S5-064 Moroccan Accents and S5-065 Moroccan Motifs was her inspiration to create her lovely box and lantern below. Thank you Sherry!

S5-064 Moroccan Accents:

Product sizes:

1. Border: 9 x 7/8″
2. Corners: 2 x 1 1/4″
3. Star Small: 1/2″
4. Star large: 3/4″
5. Oblong Accent: 1 5/8 x 3″
6. Large Accent: 2 3/4″

S5-065 Moroccan Motifs:

2. Star: 1 3/4″
3. Round: 1 1/8″

6. Motif large: 4 1/8″

And now, on to our final revelation of the day. AJ Otto has made wonderful use of 5 x 7″ EL-004 Imperial M-Bossabilities by creating an oh so cute- mini album and fun layout! She shows us how versatile these reversible M-Bossabilites are to emboss different projects! Thanks for sharing AJ!

These are all so great!  One of the things I love about crafting is that you can give two people the same items and put them to work and their projects will turn out so very different! The great thing about these tools for paper crafting is you can use them over and over and never turn out the same look twice! There are just so many p0ssabilities!

**Reminder- If you have already placed a pre-order and would like additional pre-order items, you can add to your existing pre-order at any time during the pre-order season! This will save you shipping!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Spellbinders Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy-Day One!

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Yippee! Today is the day! I am so excited to announce Spellbinders amazing new products in this Abilities and Beyond Blog Frenzy! Surprisingly I slept like a log last night. I thought I would be up half the night wondering what innovative products Spellbinders was going to release for Winter 2012 Craft and Hobby Association Show (CHA) , but let me tell you- it was the first thing I checked on when I got here this morning!

I was thrilled to find out that they have created a brand new embossing folder which is (as they say) double the fun! The brand new M-Bossabilities utilize both sides of the folder with a different design! You get double creativity with one folder! They come in two sizes: 5 x 7″ and 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. Absolutely the coolest thing! Just think of the storage space you will save!

We will Fire this up with S5-077 Lables Twenty-Five Nestabilities! This die has long classy curves  to its rectangular shape,  with sharp inverted corners to give this label pizazz.

DIE SIZES:

1. 1-1/8 x 3/4″

2. 2-1/4 x 1-3/8″

3. 3-1/2 x 2-1/8″

4. 4-5/8 x 3″

5. 6 x 3-3/4″

Next we introduce EL-001 Elite M-Bossabilities. To see video on M-Bossabilities click on link.

Designer Debbie Olson created these beautiful projects using these products. I am crazy about her subtle color hues and  embellishments! Thank you Debbie, these are gorgeous!

Moving on to Spellbinders S4-354 Splendid Circles Decorative Elements Nestabilities. This is a must have for all card makers! There is so much you can do with this beautiful Decorative Elements die!

DIE SIZES:
1. 3/4″
2. 1 1/2″
3.  2 3/8″4.
4. 4″
Designer Latisha Yoast shows us that this set is not just for cards! She brilliantly came up with this fun mini album and gift tag! Way to get creative Latisha!
This next die is pretty self descriptive.  S4-341 Wavy Rectangles Nestabilities is exactly that!
Die Sizes:
1. 3/8 x 1/2″
2. 1 1/8 x 1 1/4″
3. 1 7/8 x 2 1/8″

5. 3 5/8 x 4 1/4″
Last but not least, we bring you ES-003 Valor M-Bossabilities. This is perfect for all A2 lovers, although you don’t have to confine your creativity to that as you will see in the instructional video!
Again, you have a different pattern on each side of the folder!
Size: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″
Designer Michelle Woerner shows us how versatile thes M-bossabilities are with her cute and functional clipboard and adorable card.  I have just realized how bad I need a clipboard exactly like this one in my craft room (maybe a different color scheme). It is darling Michelle!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Have A Safe And Happy New Year’s!

Friday, December 30th, 2011

Can you believe it? It is nearly 2012! New Year’s Eve is tomorrow-Yikes! I have to keep pinching myself because I just can’t believe 2011 is over! Where did it go?  You got me! There are a few things that I am anxiously waiting for in 2012. The most exciting things are the births of Dustin’s baby girl and my grandson in the first few months of the new year and January CHA!

I can not wait to head off to sunny California and see again the wonderful people I met in July and all of the exciting new products they have brought to introduce! It is just like Christmas all over again except that I don’t have to cook or pick up the mess! Make sure to keep an eye on our Blog in January as we will start posting sneak peaks as it gets closer to CHA! I hope you are excited, ’cause I sure am!

We will be closed for the next 3 days in celebration of the New Year’s holiday, but will be back in the office on Tuesday January 3, 2012! Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Get Familiar With The Policy

Friday, October 7th, 2011

We here at Cut@Home are excited about what we do and want to make our customer’s shopping experience easy and fun each time you visit our site! We work hard to give you great service. We are constantly updating and making improvements to make our store better. There is a lot involved in running an online store!

As a consumer, so familiarizing yourselves with store policies before you shop is a great way to know what to expect from the company as far as Shipping, Payment, Exchanges and Returns. It can help save a lot of time and frustration in regards to your shopping experience, especially ordering online, which can be very different from an actual store front.

Each store’s policies are different, so being responsible in becoming familiar with a store’s policies can protect you and give you more peace of mind, making the process much easier and more pleasant.

To locate our policies, place your cursor over the pink Cut@Home tab which will bring up a drop down that will have all of our policies listed. We also have a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page that may help you with some of the most commonly asked questions regarding such things as our coupon, emails and password problems.

I hope that this has been helpful and that those who are reading this will be sure to educate themselves in this area. Have a great weekend!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

New Framelits Dies from Sizzix!

Monday, August 1st, 2011

Oh goodness, I feel so bad! I didn’t realize that I didn’t include Sizzix in my CHA blogs! If you’ve seen my picture, you know that I am blond (getting darker as I get older, but still blond) and I guess that I had another “blond moment”! My apologies to Sizzix because they have some great new Framelits and Framelitz Die Sets with Stamps!

The Framelits Dies come in sets ranging from 4-8 pieces per set.  These wafer-thin chemical-etched die sets feature the perfect print registration without interference from any ridges at the edge of the die opening. Plus, they are excellent for clearly cropping photos and cutting windows in cards, bags, boxes and scrapbook pages. Designed to cut a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum, these dies also make great stencils and are perfect for layering to produce a 3-D effect.

The Framelits Dies are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines (used with a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine’s included Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required). All items sold separately.

As for the Framelitz Die Set w/Stamp, there’s no need to search for just the right sentiment or embellishment to complement your next cardmaking, scrapbooking or paper crafting challenge! It is all included! Now that’s a great deal!

I took some photos of their beautiful displays at CHA. You should be able to get some ideas from these!

There you have it! I love the garland and wreath! Gives me some decorating ideas to start now for the holidays!

Here is a video as well to see what they look like:

And here is another video by Sizzix

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Heartfelt Creations Booth At CHA!

Friday, July 29th, 2011

This post will be the concluding post for my virtual tour of CHA in Chicago. Today I want to show you some of the artwork displayed in the Heartfelt Creations Booth! As I have said many times before, their designers are truly amazing! We got to talk with Emma Lou, Richard, Sarah and Ben. They are so warm and fun to visit with! We really had an enjoyable time in their booth!

In the displays there are new releases as well as older items. Do you recognize any that you own or would like to own?

Some I recognized are Bella Rose Lattice Background, Bella Rose House, Tea with Bella, Bella Rose Vase, Bella Rose Vintage Background, all of these used with the coordinating Spellbinders exclusive Bella Rose die. Others I recognized are Flora Grande 1 and Flora Grande 2, and Magnificent Cardinal Rose to just name a few! There is also a display of the upcoming August release!

I hope that you have enjoyed what you have seen and that you are getting excited for all of the new products that you have had a glimpse of on our Blog! I have thoroughly enjoyed showing you! Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
