The new Basic Grey paper, Bling, Bling-it On and Opalines! I am loving this new Basic Grey release and I am sure you will too! So let’s get started with a few of my favorites.

Basic Grey goes green with the Green At Heart 6×6 paper pad made of recycled paper. The colors include pinks, reds and greens on florals, dots and stripes.

The other 6×6 paper pad is Kioshi. It has an oriental flair with eastern designs on cool colors of lavender, pink, aqua and yellow.

We also have the new Bling and Opalines. Here is a sample of some of my favorites:

I am so excited about the ampersand. I can just see a layout with two names cut out of my favorite alphabet joined with the ampersand in the middle! Very elegant!

And here are the new rub-ons, the Bling-It Ons, in black and a brand new color – white:

The white is going to look stellar on a dark, pearlized paper! And nothing is better than basic black.

I will have more Basic Grey coming in late April, but for now, have fun with these.

If you spray your trays (or whatever container you use for your glitter) with a fine mist of Paper Glide, the glitter just slides right off! No more glitter clinging to the sides, which will save you glitter, which in turn saves you money! And we are all about saving money!

As a reminder, Paper Glide is a bonding formula, much like hairspray, spray paint, etc. As such, it is strongly recommended to keep the bottle cap on the sprayer after each use, to keep residue from building up at the opening of the fine-mist sprayer. You can also place a small moist cotton ball inside the clear cap to keep it moist at all times. This really makes a difference!

Summer Lovin is from one of their designers (sorry I couldn’t find out who) and it is a good illustration of one of many designs you can do with this great brad maker. See how the designer customized the brads to her layout! It is about the same size as the WRMK Crop-a-dile. It fits well in your hand and is very easy to use. I think it is one of Spellbinders best releases to date. The Big Scallops are very hot and of course the Labels are flying off the shelf. Here are a few of my favorites to compare with what you like:

I love the Labels Ten because it reminds me of a vintage luggage tag. This label look great with the vintage paper from Graphic 45, the Transatlantique. I chose the Big Scallops because of the deep wide curve of the scallop. The Lotus Pendant is so versatile with the different flower centers and looks gorgeous on a romantic layout. Don’t forget the little trick for the pendant dies to make them come of your die cutting machine smoothly. Run the die through with wax paper first. It gives you just enough of a waxy coating so the intricate cuts come out beautifully. Or you can try the Paper Glide. Just a little spray will do ya! Awesome product.

How simple is it to already have an A2 card and a matching envelope already to go? I send them out as is, or I embellish the front like I did for my very own birthday party:

Always a fan of black and white, I used the La Creme A2 Box of Cards to make my invite. I used the Spellbinders Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, and the flowers are my favorite from Petaloo, the Jeweled Florettes Purple Passion.

DCWV has three new lines of the A2 Box of Cards: Linen Closet, Cafe Mediterranean, and Natural. I just reduced the price of these from $13.50 to $8.99! You get 40 cards and envelopes for only $8.99! Love it! Here is the new line:

I was talking to my rep and she has all boys like I do. She said her 25 year old came to her wanting cards to write thank you’s, and she gave him a box of the Natural. He loved them! (pretty impressive for a 25 yr old young man!) So if I had to pick a favorite of the new ones, it would be the Natural because I am always looking for masculine cards for all my sons. These make great birthday cards too.

Also from DCWV is the Madly in Love 12 x 12 paper set! I am deeply, truly in love with his paper!

With the pinks and greens and black, this will make a great layout for a wedding or for the sweetheart in your life!
