New DCWV paper is here!

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

I hope you have seen the latest release from DCWV! I LOVE these new collections. The colors are so alive and vibrant, it makes me happy just looking at it. See for yourself!

The Black Currant comes in a 12×12 size and some of the papers are foils. You have to see the purple color to appreciate how gorgeous it is. This says prom or wedding all over it! Here are some ideas from the DCWV idea gallery:

Next is Colorful Life. It comes in two sizes, 12×12 and 4.5×6.5 and you can get it in a print or solid.

The infusion of colors and the patterns are an artists dream! What I love about this paper is depending on the project, you can dress it up or down. I love the versatility. And the colors just make me happy!

Celebrate your best friend, your love or those crazy young men in your life, this paper will capture all the flavors of life.

Street Lace is girlish charm meets gothic edge with colors of black, green, grey, turquoise and pink. It also comes in two sizes, 12×12 and 4.5×6.5, and in a print stack and solid stack.

With its gothic edge, you can do layouts for either a boy or a girl. This screams “teenager” to me! Here are some ideas:

This last collection is a must have. Everyone needs a really solid “go to” paper stack and this is it!

Textures & Finishes will surely be a scrapping staple for years to come. This 12×12 timeless collection gives you all kinds of colors in all different finishes.  Get started with ideas from these projects:

To find out more on the projects featured, please visit the DCWV Idea Gallery.

I have more paper to feature so stay tuned to my blog to see what else is new!

Spook-tacular projects for Halloween from Spellbinders!

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

The DT at Spellbinders really do some fantastic designs. Those gals are really talented and deserve a blog post all to themselves, so here ya go! Let your creative juices flow and get ready for the scariest holiday of the year!

If you went to CHA Chicago and stopped by the Spellbinders booth, these pumpkin pins were the make and take courtesy of Cathy Chelbana. She used the Labels Fifteen, Labels Sixteen and the Jack O Lanterns shapeabilities die.

Kazan Clark did this Halloween layout using the Nested Bats, Witches Brew, and Big Scalloped Border Grand.

This Halloween layout has really gone to the dogs – and aren’t we glad! Mona Pendleton created this dog-gone great layout using the Graveyard Scenes, Wonky Squares and the Standard Circle Nestabilities die.

Here is a cute card by Beth Pingry using the Witches Brew shapeabilities die. What I love about these shoes if you get a right and a left shoe!

Regrets Only would not be a problem with this great looking Halloween party invite! Latisha Yoast used the Labels Fourteen, Graveyard Scene, and the Floral and Stone Impressabilities to create this card.

What’s a party without decorations! And I went batty over this bat banner designed by Margie Higuchi. She used the Nested Bats, Halloween Fence Scenes, Jack O Lanterns and Witches Brew shapeabilities dies.

I hope you enjoy looking at these works of art as much as I did!

Happy Haunting!

Heartfelt Creations Winter Wonderland projects!

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

I am loving these new Winter Wonderland stamps by Heartfelt Creations and have to show off some of the projects that have been made by their DT. For recipes, please visit their blog.

I want to showcase just two of their rubber stamp sets. To view all the NEW Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps, go to “New Products.”

This is the “Snowmen Melt Your Heart”. Frosty has nothing on these cuties! They sure melt mine!

Capture the warmth of Christmas with the Church in the Wildwood.

Thank you ladies from the HC DT team – simply gorgeous! I hope these designs stoke your creativity and you are ready to start thinking about those Christmas cards.

Happy Stampin!

A visit with Heartfelt Creations at the Scrapbook USA Expo!

Monday, September 13th, 2010

The Cut@Home girls had a great time at the Scrapbook USA Expo in Sandy Utah on Friday.  For those of you who have never been, this event is really a lot of fun. The vendors are set up around the perimeter of the room and in the middle are tables where people bring all their scrapbook supplies and gather as friends and family to crop ’til you drop! There is food, music and prizes to keep you going all day and night!

We found some great deals on paper from DCWV and embellishments at Basic Grey! Imaginisce was there with their great little tools, the I-top and I-Roc and we saw the new Sizzix TIEF’s – sooo cute!

The highlight was visiting with our friends Emma Lou and Richard from Heartfelt Creations! As you know, Heartfelt Creations is our very first rubber stamp company here at Cut@Home. We chose to lead off with them because of their stunning designs, superb quality and the coordinating Spellbinders stamps and exclusive dies.  Emma Lou is always so gracious and fun to work with.

From left to right is Tauna, Emma Lou, Janeth and Shaylee (my granddaughter!) and Carrie. We are a happy bunch! :-)

Happy Scrappin!

Quick card idea from DCWV and Petaloo

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Here is what I do when I need to make a card really quick. I got my Citrus A2 Box of Cards from DCWV, however, any of their Box of cards will do. Then I grabbed my Petaloo Large Florette Dazzlers and found a florette to compliment the colors on the card, and stuck it in the corner like so:

I really love the Petaloo Large Florettes because the centers are separate from the petals, so you can have a different color center if you want. Please they are self adhesive, and sometimes I just don’t feel like glueing! :-)

Then I pre-cut a bunch of Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Ovals in coordinating colors that are blank. I also have phrases like “Thanks”, “Baby”, “Happy Birthday” etc. already to go or I can use my stamps to stamp a phrase on the oval Nestie, and voila! Instant card! Fast, quick and easy!

Have a great weekend and look for our Nestabilities sale next week.

NEW Cuttlebug available for pre-order!

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Take a look at the latest Cuttlebug products available for pre-order! They will begin shipping in April and May.

We have three new A2 embossing folders, five new 5×7 embossing folders and one 7″ border.

Brand new to this collection is the Embossing Plus in three different sizes: 2 x 2.75, A2 and 5 x 7!

They also come in sets with two different sizes of dies.

In case you are wondering, the Embossing Plus is a die that cuts and embosses with one pass of your die-cutting machine. This differs from the combo dies where you had to put it through your machine once to cut, then the second time to emboss. How great is that!

Also new, Provocraft has twelve inch embossing borders in three styles to choose from:

To go along with the twelve inch embossed borders, they also have the adaptor, cutting and spacer mats that measure 6 x 13″.

To see the entire new release that is available for pre-order and for more information on the product you see here, visit our pre-order page. By placing your pre-order with us, you will one of the first to receive these new Cuttlebug products! Make sure your pre-orders are on separate order forms from the items that are available.

Happy Shopping!
