Scrapbook Layout with Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs

Monday, August 11th, 2014

Today i did a scrapbook layout with Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs. This is a fabulous new collection available now for pre-order at the Cut at Home web site. I was so excited to receive this collection, I had the perfect picture in mind for my first creation!

Before I get started her is a list of the products that I used that are available for pre-order:
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs 12 x 12 Paper Pad – SKU: 4500970
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs Decorative Chipboard – SKU: 4500972
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs Journaling and Ephemera Tags – SKU: 4500976
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs Journaling Chipboard – SKU: 4500973
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs 6″ x 6″ Patterns and Solids – SKU: 4500968
Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs 12″ x 12″ Stickers – SKU: 4500974

I also used a few items from my stash, Dog Washi Tape, twine, and an Epiphany Crafts Shape Maker to make the small acrylic rounds from the paper.

The first thing I always do is play around with all the elements that I am thinking about using, I never glue or tape anything down until I am sure that I am happy with the basic layout of all the elements that I want to use.

You can also view the video here at our youtube channel if you wish.

I used the black checkered paper from the 12″ x 12″ paper for the background and the black and white polka dot paper for the frame of the picture. I wanted to add other elements around the picture, which is a 5″ x 7″, so I cut the frame larger, 8″ x 7″, I also used a border from the back of the polka dot paper for the layout. The paper in this collection is very versatile like that and includes lots of borders and tags that you can cut. I decided to add a couple of pieces of the white and black polka dot paper from the 6″ x 6″ pad for some added interest. I also off set a piece of the white and black polka dot paper behind one of the tags that says All you Need is Love and a Dog.

Once I was happy with the layout I used a tape roller and adhered all my elements, I also added two strips of Washi tape, I had some washi tape that I have been wanting to use and this layout was perfect for it.

I also used a shape maker from Epiphany Crafts to add a couple of acrylic shapes along with adding some of the chipboard accents, including some buttons that I added twine to before I adhered them.

Here is a look at the finished layout:

This was such a fun layout and I love this collection! I hope that you have enjoyed my post today, until next week, Thanks and Happy Scrappin!

Order Status and Shipping Questions?

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

Found a new product? Project ideas popping out of control in your head and you have to have that item right away before you forget all of these great ideas? You may even have deadlines for the projects you are working on and need a certain item fast. Trust me, I understand completely, because I am the same way! I want it NOW!

I would like to let you know that all of us at Cut@Home are hard at work trying to get orders out as quickly as possible everyday! I would like to give you a little background about how we fill orders and ship.

We fill orders in the order in which they are received. If all items on your order are on our shipping facility shelves we will have it shipped within 24-48 hours of receipt. However, if an item on your order is not on our shelves at the time of the order, your order will go into Pending Status and will ship as soon as all items are available which usually takes 5-14 days. Items that are available for your order will be held for your order until the remaining item(s) arrive. We can not split shipments as we ship from a shipping facility.

We work hard to keep a well stocked inventory and we are constantly ordering and receiving shipments from our vendors to replenish our inventory. With a worldwide customer base, it is sometimes difficult for our vendors (as well as ourselves) to project product popularity, and some items may take longer to arrive than others. Many times we don’t know that an item is not coming in until our shipment arrives and item has not been included. In these instances, we try to notify our customers as soon as possible. We will also look elsewhere for the delayed item, so we can get it in as soon as possible.

Our customers are always welcome to call or email us about an order status and we are happy to assist you!

We ask that customers read our Shipping Policy so that you know what to expect if your order is not shipped within 24-48 hours of order date. It is a good policy to read no matter where you order from online.

We are currently shipping the new Graphic 45 CHA release, however, we have had a slight glitch in our  computer inventory system with a few items. We are hoping to have this resolved by tomorrow so we can finish shipping the rest of our pre-orders! We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter! Computers are wonderful to have MOST of the time!

I hope this helps answer any questions you may have concerning our shipping process. If you have an other questions or concerns, please let us know!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

This was a lot of fun because I got the pictures from my mom and I had not seen some of them before! My sweet, spunky grandmother is the brunette sister and my mom is the blond niece on the left, so it was even more special for me to have 3 generations of my family tree in this project!

**I would like to include a note about shipping today. For those who are waiting for packages to arrive, this may help answer some of your questions! This was a notice sent to me this morning and I would like to share it with all of you!

USA ORDERS. You should see your item soon…..but please understand that we do not “control” the US Postal Service. I wish we could!! LOL!!! Once we ship your order, you and I have to rely on the Postal Service to deliver the package in a timely manner, and they can be rather erratic at times to say the least as I’m sure you know. We have seen tremendous differences in package travel times for some reason. You could receive your package in 2 days, or it could take 2 weeks. I really don’t understand why this happens, but again, it is something we have no control over. Average travel time runs 4-8 days, but from time to time, a package might take 2 weeks. I thank you for understanding.

****** VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!! ******

Travel time on International orders can take up to 6 WEEKS to arrive. It averages 20-30 days, with some packages arriving faster than that, but 35+ day travel time is VERY common and quite normal, and can even be a bit longer if the package is held up in the Customs Department in your country waiting to be cleared for delivery.

The countries that take the longest are….

BRAZIL (30-40 days)

ITALY (35-45 days)

GERMANY (25-35 days)

AUSTRALIA (30-40 days of late. The reason why is because there was a major software crash at the Australian Customs Department. In the words of the Customs Department there, it has created “10 weeks of chaos” and is causing HUGE delays in travel time)

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
