Okay, so I have to share with you this incredibly fun idea that one of our local customers shared with me today! Using the Heartfelt Creations exclusive Spellbinders Die- Daisy Patch and her die cutting machine,  she has made these adorable hair bows out of soda cans! Amazingly, the cans do not dull the dies and are not sharp once the shapes have been cut! Awesome!

Laura started her hair bow business only 3 weeks ago and her hair bows have literally blossomed on Facebook! She is a stay at home mom who also runs a daycare out of her home! Wanting to bring in more income, she decided to try the hair bows after a friend had given her daughter a similar bow. Just by putting pictures on Facebook, they have taken off! I can see why! They are adorable!

One of the great things about Spellbinders is that they create  products that enable you to coordinate other products with their dies, such as stamps from Heartfelt Creations, Just Rite Stampers and Sparkle N Sprinkle!

I don’t know how many of you have used these stamps, but they are all fantastic! I would like to touch a little on each of these just to let you know a little bit about each one!

Heartfelt Creations not only make their stamp sets to coordinate with Spellbinders Dies, they have also collaborated with Spellbinders to create their own exclusive dies! Their precut stamp sets are mounted on a cling foam, ready to be used on acrylic blocks. The most popular line of stamps is the newly-released series that coordinates with Spellbinder dies and exclusive Heartfelt Creations dies. This results in a detailed image on your die cut, enabling you to create a 3-D stamped dimension without using  scissors.

We just received their newest stamp sets that include Magnificent Cardinal Rose which coordinates with the Cardinal Family die set! You will definitely want to see these new sets! They are gorgeous!

Just Rite Stampers have a unique collection of  borders, centers, alphabet, words and phrases that are interchangeable. JustRite rubber stamps range from big bold and colorable to simple and delicate. They produce a line of Cling Stamps as well as ridged stamps that when placed on their coordinating stamper give you perfectly placed borders and centers! They also have an exclusive line of coordinating Dies that are manufactured by Spellbinders!

I absolutely love their Birdhouses Set which requires a 2″ stamper! We do carry all sizes of their stampers in clear or wood! As for their cling stamps, one of my favorites is You Inspire Me. Just use an acrylic block to place your stamps and you are ready to go!

Sparkle N Sprinkle are the newest line of stamps that we have brought on board. They have been producing stamp sets to coordinate with many of the Spellbinder Nestabilities dies and will continue to do so! Their stamp sets are refreshing and fun!  They are mounted on cling cushion, so all you need to do is put them on an acrylic block (sold separately). Stamp away!

I am always needing new phrases, especially Thank You phrases, so of course I had to have their Thanks a Bunch Set! I am a scuba diver and collect just about anything that pertains to the ocean, so the Ocean Treasures Set is right up my alley!

I love warm weather! Today is a nice warm day here at Cut@Home and we can see the spring flowers popping up through the ground! One of the things I love about the warm weather months is Flowers! The Daisy is one of my favorites because each one looks so happy! They are also hardy, which is good in our Utah clay!  Good thing for me that we have so many Daisies to choose from here at the store!

We have lots of Heartfelt Creation Daisy Stamps, such as Daisy Patch Background, Daisy Patch Bouquet, Daisy Patch Flowers, and Daisy Patch Swirls. Don’t forget the Daisy Patch Die to cut some out to give your flowers dimension! These sets are amazing! You can’t go wrong while designing with these!

There are also the Cameo Daisy Flowers 1 and Cameo Daisy Flowers 2 which coordinate with Spellbinders Blossom Die!

Spellbinders has some great Daisies to their credit! Daisy Heads are very popular as well as Daisy Border Small!

Have you ever had an idea and KNOW that you have a particular item (like burlap) that you want for the focal point of your project, but then search for it only to realize that you must have loaned that item to someone and have not got it back? Well, that happened to me a couple days ago! I can’t remember who I loaned my burlap to, but I seem to remember doing that! So I improvised! For my Family Ties page below, I used some denim squares that I had originally cut for a quilt! It would have been nice to have burlap too! That is the beauty of creativity! You can change anything at any time!There are no restrictions!

I have grown to love the bright, cheerful look of sunflowers as I have gotten older! Even though I am so allergic to them that I don’t want them near my house, I love decorating with sunflowers! They make me feel happy! The Heartfelt Creations Aztec Gold Sunflowers 1 and Aztec Gold Sunflowers 2 cut out with Spellbinders Blossoms Two were a perfect combination to embellish my photo of my smiley nieces and nephew! I don’t own any Copic markers (maybe someday!), so I shaded them with Stampin’ Up Water Color Crayons, curled the leaves for dimension and sprinkled some black glitter for the centers! I made the leaves using Spellbinder’s Nested Leaves.

This was just for fun so I used some old paper that I bought who knows how long ago! I grew up in a rural area on the outskirts of  Salt Lake City, Utah, so if it looks country I am all over it! Gingham and polka dots fit the bill! I am a jeans kind of gal, so the denim squares with ric-rac trim worked for me! Of course, jeans ALWAYS work for me!  I took a Fiskars scallop punch to create the frame around my photo, then to hide my (shhh!) uneven corners I used QuicKutz RS-0136 Photo Corner.  The title is created from Boss Kut Hobby Horse Alphabet.

We have a surprise for tomorrow! Sneak Peak of our new product line!

Here are a couple layouts I did using just a few of the new Spellbinder Dies.  I used pieces from the S5-043 Fleur De Lis Motifs as well as S5-042 Fleur De Lis Accent and the S5-030 Fancy Tags Two for my first layout, along with the DCWV Black Currant Paper Stack.

For my second layout I used pieces from the S4-318 Fleur De Lis Squares, S5-051 Fanciful Flight and S5-030 Fancy Tags Two. The flowers are Glittered Layered Daisies from Petaloo.

I promise that you will LOVE this release as much as I do, so have fun shopping! You’ll be glad that you can just sit in your chair and push a button to put items in your cart and not have to push that heavy cart around!

Attention all crafters! Get ready for the 2011 Winter CHA Show this weekend, running January 29-31st! Yea!!! ALL of the new Spellbinder’s, Heartfelt Creation’s and Quickutz releases will be viewable on our site Saturday the 29th with more to come throughout the following week! You will want to be glued to your computer so you don’t miss a thing!

If you are affiliated with the business end of the trade, and are in the Los Angeles area this weekend you should stop by the show! Our owners, Marcie and Dustin, will be there checking out all of the latest products that we want to introduce  to you this year! There are just so many fantastic products to choose from!

Here is a peak of some very lovely projects from  Heartfelt Creation’s designers AngelicaTurner and Cheryl Walker using the HCD 709 Springtime Medley Die and HCPC 3359 Daffy Daffodils Stamp Set. And to think there are more! Wow!

I hope that you are all as excited as I am about the Heartfelt Creations New Releases as I am! These will help you expand your creativity to new heights! I was able to play a bit over the weekend with the HCD 709  Springtime Medley Die, along with the coordinating stamp set HCPC 3359 Daffy Daffodil! Talk about springtime fun!

I chose the Daffodils because they are one of the first flowers to pop up and bring a sign that spring is here, and I am in need of a good dose of the warmth they promise!

For the card tin, I chose to use the smaller daffodils using two shades of yellow card stock. I stamped the image on both colors then cut out a template with a piece of scrap card stock. Taking the template, I cut out the images out through my personal Cuttlebug Machine. I shaded around the edges and the leaves with watercolor crayons. I actually cut several and layered them using adhesive foam for more dimension.  I placed them around the S4-269 Lotus Pendant that gave it a doily look. I used one of the smaller pendants for the center. Add a bit of ribbon around the edges. I use Scor-Tape for applying my ribbon. Easy!

For my CD organizer Box, I used the small daffodil for the front of the box and the daffodil with stem for the sides, using the same method as the Card Tin to shade. I placed the larger flowers in frames using S4-138 Petite Ovals Large #3 die inside S4-139 Petite Scalloped Ovals Large #3 and #4 dies. I glued everything together with adhesive then used Mod Podge to adhere them to each desired area  of the box.

Last, but not least, I used the large Daffodil from the Daffy Daffodil Set for the center of a Sticky Note Holder!  I used colored pencil on this project to give it a softer look. These make great little gifts!

I cut 2 pieces of chipboard 3 1/2″ square. Cover each of them with paper cut 4 1/2″ square, with score marks on each side approx. 7 1/16  from outside edge. I used the Whimsy Mat Stack for my project. Cut out corners, glue to to the chipboard. Cut 1 strip of card stock or heavier paper 8 3/4″ x 3 1/4″. Score 1″, 1 1/2″, 4 7/8″, and 5 3/8″ along the strip. Glue to pieces of chipboard so you will have a front, back and flap.

I used S4-301 Labels Sixteen #4 die for a frame around the flower, stamping a random flourish to make the leaves. I raised the Daffodil with foam adhesive so I could place the flap of the holder behind the flower to keep it closed.

I had so much fun making these projects! These new sets are a must have for your collection! Take a peak at all the rest on our site!
