Arriving Soon! Heartfelt Creations Decorative Basket Collection!

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

Heartfelt Creations artists are once again bringing us another outstanding collection which includes five gorgeous stamp sets with coordinating die! The Decorative Basket Collection is expected to start shipping next week! It is sure to be a favorite!

The stamps that are included in the Decorative Basket Collection are:

Decorative Basket

Woven Basket

Botanical Floral Basket

Basketweave Background

Belated Birthday Wishes

The exclusive Spellbinders die made just for Heartfelt Creations that coordinate with this stamps set is the HCD 714 Decorative Layered Basket Die.  It includes 3 dies.

Approximate Die Sizes:

1. Decor Basket: 3 1/2 x 2 3/4″
2. Layer Basket: 3 7/8 x 2 7/8″
3. Leaf Spray: 1 3/4 x 1 3/8″

I was inspired yesterday while reading Tim Holtz‘s Blog. He mentioned that one way he gets past a creative block is to organize! He finds stuff he forgot about and becomes inspired! Well, I decided that my space could use a bit of tidying up, and I found some little things I had forgot about that I  could use on my project for  today’s blog! I also used some of my brand new stuff that I have been dying to try!

I used the Decorative Layered Basket Die (available next week!) on my card below. I used the solid basket die to cut printed paper then used the decorative die to cut a marbled  card stock to layer. I did have to run the decorative die through my Cuttlebug Machine 2-3 times to make sure it cut through all the way as it is more intricate.

Other items used in this project were from Spellbinders and  Donna Salazar Creative Book Pages Two.  Paper from Teresa Collins World Traveler 6 x 6 paper pad. Flowers were made using the smallest flower and leaf from Heartfelt Creations Botanical Floral 2 then cutting with Spellbinders Rose Creations Die set. Other embellishments- mini brads, label from Making Memories, adhesive acrylic sentiment, sanding block for distressing embossed edges.

It was fun to go through and find stuff that was stashed away for a while! It felt like I had something new and it was already paid for! That’s always a good feeling!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Today we have the inspiring ideas from Designers Tonya Dirk and Shanna Vineyard! I am so excited to blog about their designs!

Here goes!

LF-347 Grand Labels Twenty-Three

Tonya used S4-340 Create-A-Flake Three and LF-347 Grand Labels Twenty-Three for her Adorable You layout and Let it Snow hanger! The interesting thing is, she used the negative image of the Create-A-Flake Three to make flowers on her page! Great ideas! Thanks Tonya!

Mothers Love Roses!

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

It is crunch time to get you gifts done for Mother’s Day if you haven’t already! Here’s an idea for a card box if your mom likes cards, but needs a place to store them, or you can fill the box with pre-made cards for her to use when needed! Of course I used roses, because that is what mom’s like! Right?

The paper I used for my tin box  is the Rustic Paper Stack from DCWV ( It is an exclusive to JoAnn Stores), and the Shimmer Stack for the roses. To cut the roses I used QuicKutz Roses die. Easy! I cut it out with my Cuttlebug Machine then rolled them up and glued them in place with some Zip Dry Paper Glue!

I used Spellbinders Lacey Ovals to cut a copper frame from the Precious Metals Premium Craft Foils, then topped with Classic Ovals Small stamped with a saying from Just Rite Stampers The Greatest Joy Borders & Centers Set! I finished it off with flowers from Petaloo Canterbury Collection Rose & Berries Branch and some ribbon!

This was a lot of fun! It took me a minute to practice making the roses with some regular paper, but found that the thicker card stock made it easier! Just roll it up with your fingers and let go for it to take shape, then glue it where you want it!

Have fun making your Mother’s Day projects!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, Create With Them!

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

I love warm weather! Today is a nice warm day here at Cut@Home and we can see the spring flowers popping up through the ground! One of the things I love about the warm weather months is Flowers! The Daisy is one of my favorites because each one looks so happy! They are also hardy, which is good in our Utah clay!  Good thing for me that we have so many Daisies to choose from here at the store!

We have lots of Heartfelt Creation Daisy Stamps, such as Daisy Patch Background, Daisy Patch Bouquet, Daisy Patch Flowers, and Daisy Patch Swirls. Don’t forget the Daisy Patch Die to cut some out to give your flowers dimension! These sets are amazing! You can’t go wrong while designing with these!

There are also the Cameo Daisy Flowers 1 and Cameo Daisy Flowers 2 which coordinate with Spellbinders Blossom Die!

Spellbinders has some great Daisies to their credit! Daisy Heads are very popular as well as Daisy Border Small!

QuicKutz has introduced us to their new Blossoms set which has several different sizes of daisy shaped flowers!

Wow! I can almost smell them! And this is just skimming the top! We have dozens of flower shapes to choose from! What is your favorite?

Take a look in our Flower Theme! I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the selection you have to choose from! Have fun walking through our garden!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Introducing Sizzix Decorative Strip Mini Paper Rosettes!

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

This Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Mini Paper Rosettes from Tim Holtz is such a fun die! I love how it is so easy to cut out and fold! I think I could cut out rosette flowers all day!Just make sure that you have a good strong adhesive to hold them together!

You receive two different sizes of rosettes: 2 1/8″ and 1 3/4″. Each Decorative Strip die measures 12 5/8″. It coordinates with the Decorative Strip Die Paper Rosette which shape measures approximately 2 5/8″.

For my Thank You card I used one of the Spellbinders Grand Big Scalloped Ovals, then used my Scor-Pal to score down the middle to make my fold for the card.  I used the Mini Paper Rosettes Die to make my flowers, then used Spellbinders Foliage to make my leaves! The butterfly is from the Fanciful Flight set. I finished it off with stamping my phrase from the From My Kitchen stamp set from Just Rite Stampers onto my paper then cutting it out with a die from Floral Doily Accents set. Add a couple of pearls and dew drops and it is done!

I’m sure that your imagination can think of lots of possibilities with these babies!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

A video of how to distress or make a 3D paper flower for card making with the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit. It is very easy and gives a great 3-D effect for your cards or crafts. McGill joins the trend with its papercrafting tools and accessories. This is  the very best stylus on the market to break down paper fibers and make your designs come to life! This particular flower was used with the Posy Patch die cut and stamp set by Heartfelt Creations and then the layered design is with the Spellbinders Nestabilities dies too.

We’re Introducing JustRite Stampers!

Friday, February 11th, 2011

For all of you who are stampers, or who would like to be stampers, we would like to bring to your attention JustRite Stampers! I think you will be very  impressed with their products!I know that I am!

Now, I will admit that I have dabbled with stamps here and there, but never really knew what to do with them, so they have been a tiny bit intimidating! Since bringing on a couple of stamp companies, I am finding that I really want to do more with stamps! There are so many beautiful stamps out there!

For starters, JustRite are grooved on the back of the stamps which fit perfectly into the grooved surface of their coordinating stampers! This is great since you can mix and match borders, centers and fonts and they will match up perfectly to make your stamp unique to its purpose!

They offer wood stampers in different sizes, as well as clear stampers, which help you to see exactly where you want to place your image or sentiment. They also coordinate with some Spellbinder dies, Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Punches and even a few EK Success and Stampin’ Up punches!

They also offer a line of Cling Stamps and acrylic blocks that you can mix and match also!Mix and match with a variety of themes, verses, sentiments and alphabets!

I did a little playing last night with the JustRite Stamps to show you some examples.

For my chocolate kiss vase I used JB-09500 1 5/8″ Clear Stamper with the JB-09720 Romantic Sentiments Centers for the flower centers. For the main center I used my I-Top Tool and a large Brad-Daddy. The flowers are Petaloo- Love You  Flora Doodles. I placed the main flower on a back made from S5-027 Labels Twenty One, which I cut out on my Cuttlebug.

My card was as easy as can be! I stamped two images using the Cling Stamps CL-02075 You Inspire Me in two different shades of blue, punched the bottom with a scalloped punch, cut by hand the top image then used adhesive foam to stack them. The center was stamped and punched with  a circle punch. I used Martha Stewart border punches for the edges.

Of course I have to do a scrapbook page, so I started with paper from DCWV Nana’s Nursery 12 x 12 paper stack. The stamps are from JB-09265 The Greatest Joy Set. I used #4 die from Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, then #4 die of Classic Scalloped Ovals Large and #4 Beaded Ovals die. The butterfly is from the new Fanciful Flight Set ( I love this set!) and Petaloo Love You Flora Doodles.

You’ve really got to give these stamps a try! They are great to use! Easy clean-up too! I’m sure that you will come up with some great projects!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Bling From Want2Scrap!

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

Last week I showed you all the Nestabling from Want2Scrap. Today I want to show you examples of their fabulous line of Rhinestone Gems and Pearls! Individually self adhesive,  you don’t need to break them off of a strip just to use one or two for a project! There are a variety of colors to choose from, with 72 Rhinestones or Pearls per sheet! The Baby Bling contains 100 pieces per package!

For my greeting card, I used pattern paper from the DCWV Luxury Mat Stack for my card front, the rose, leaves and tag.  The rose and leaves are made with S5-050 Rose Creations. The tag is #1 of S4-317 Fleur De Lis Rectangles.  I molded and  inked the edges of my rose petals with ink, then put them all together with a brad before putting one of the large 2226 Pink Pearls on top of the brad. I used all sizes on two corners with the smallest pearls placed along the swirls of the paper. It is easier to place the small pearls with a pair of craft tweezers, but it is not necessary.

For my A2 card I used S5-025 Labels Seventeen die #6 for the white background. The #4 die from S4-316 Heart Circles, then cut my picture out with #6 die from S4-114 Standard Circles Large to place in the center. I inked around the card and hearts, then used 6244 Red Baby Bling to spruce it up! Baby Bling also comes in a variety of colors!

I recommend using craft tweezers for sure with the Baby Bling! They are so cute, but very tiny!

If you enjoy bling, then Want2Scrap has something for you! We also have Bling Strips, Brackets and Swirls! We are still adding this product line to our website, so keep watching over the next week or so!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
