Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Oh my goodness! You are going to LOVE this latest 12 x 12 paper collection from MME, the Meadowlark, in Dawn and Dusk.  If you are a fan of all that’s black & white, then this is the paper collection for you! I can see it in my family album already, or a wedding layout. The patterns are everything from floral to plaid to dots to paisley. Accent your pages with any of the gorgeous flowers from Petaloo. I see the Giant Daisy’s in a 12 x 12 layout in yellow or red or chartreuse!

And while you are browsing through MME, don’t forget to look at all the paper and accessories we have on clearance.

Enjoy!

Quick card idea from DCWV and Petaloo

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Here is what I do when I need to make a card really quick. I got my Citrus A2 Box of Cards from DCWV, however, any of their Box of cards will do. Then I grabbed my Petaloo Large Florette Dazzlers and found a florette to compliment the colors on the card, and stuck it in the corner like so:

I really love the Petaloo Large Florettes because the centers are separate from the petals, so you can have a different color center if you want. Please they are self adhesive, and sometimes I just don’t feel like glueing! :-)

Then I pre-cut a bunch of Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Ovals in coordinating colors that are blank. I also have phrases like “Thanks”, “Baby”, “Happy Birthday” etc. already to go or I can use my stamps to stamp a phrase on the oval Nestie, and voila! Instant card! Fast, quick and easy!

Have a great weekend and look for our Nestabilities sale next week.

New Spellbinders Nestabilities are here!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

We have two new Nestabilities that are now available: The Big Scalloped Circles Large and the Big Scalloped Circles Small! My mind goes crazy with the possibilities for these two nesting dies. At first glance I see flowers and femininity. They would frame a Petaloo paper flower beautifully. See what you think:

Have fun!

New A2 Box of Cards and 12 x 12 paper set!

Friday, February 19th, 2010

One of my favorite items is the A2 Box of Cards from Die Cuts With a View. How simple is it to already have an A2 card and a matching envelope already to go? I send them out as is, or I embellish the front like I did for my very own birthday party:

Always a fan of black and white, I used the La Creme A2 Box of Cards to make my invite. I used the Spellbinders Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, and the flowers are my favorite from Petaloo, the Jeweled Florettes Purple Passion.

DCWV has three new lines of the A2 Box of Cards: Linen Closet, Cafe Mediterranean, and Natural. I just reduced the price of these from $13.50 to $8.99! You get 40 cards and envelopes for only $8.99! Love it! Here is the new line:

I was talking to my rep and she has all boys like I do. She said her 25 year old came to her wanting cards to write thank you’s, and she gave him a box of the Natural. He loved them! (pretty impressive for a 25 yr old young man!) So if I had to pick a favorite of the new ones, it would be the Natural because I am always looking for masculine cards for all my sons. These make great birthday cards too.

Also from DCWV is the Madly in Love 12 x 12 paper set! I am deeply, truly in love with his paper!

With the pinks and greens and black, this will make a great layout for a wedding or for the sweetheart in your life!

Look for my weekend sale newsletter in your inbox later tonight!

A heartfelt message from Petaloo!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I was deeply touched by this message from Jeff and Cheryl Cohen, the owners of Petaloo and wanted to share it with all of you. Last year they visited the little town of Chamarajanagara India where some of their new product is manufactured. In their own words, they write:

“During our India leg of the trip, one of our new sub factories urgently requested that we visit them. It was an all day trip to this town. We realized our business had grown with them, but we didn’t understand what that meant. This small town had been in its third year of severe drought. There were few jobs and much poverty. When we arrived, we were escorted into a large hall where over 300 women sat waiting. Over the next two hours, we heard story after story of how grateful they were to be able to earn money for their families. In their broken English:  “Thank you Petaloo” they would say…300 ladies all there to say thank you, not just to us but to you as well. So when you see our new Tiffany’s Treasures or Jeweled Florettes or Tye-Dyed Gypsies, they all come from this little town….”

The Cohen’s go on to say that one of the greatest gifts of this last year was the gift of resilience. Every time life would throw them a roadblock it would force them to see things differently, to find another way and to persevere.

We at Cut@Home echo this sentiment. Despite the challenges of this last year, we are all very grateful for everything we have been able to accomplish and that we are all still working and growing and have jobs to support our families. We are all in this together; and together we will overcome. If one way doesn’t work we will find another way.

I hope when you shop, you will stop by Petaloo and if you like what you see, buy a few flowers and think of the this little town in India whose lives you are helping.

Here’s to a very prosperous and abundant 2010!

Home from CHA!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Well readers, I made it back from not so sunny California and have been busy getting the store ready for the new releases! Most of my vendors are shipping their new product in February. Spellbinders had a great response to all their new dies, and they had to place a second order to China while I was there. Their first shipment is going to be spread pretty thin over all their distributors and stores, and the second shipment will not be arriving until mid April. So what does this mean? You may want to consider pre-ordering if there is a die or two you HAVE to have right away. Otherwise you are taking a chance on not getting in on their first shipment.

In other news, I saw the Cricut cake. For those of you who have ever wanted to have a business of cake decorating, this is for you! It cuts fondant! I saw the most beautifully decorated cupcakes! I also saw Ellison’s new digital machine Eclips. I will have that available for pre-order soon. It will be a special order item and I will be pricing it at $399.99 (reg price $499.99). They have some new TI’s coming out which I love, as well as more dies. I saw the new Provocraft folders and dies. They are doing a bundle with this release with some of their new folders, and they won’t be sold separately. The good news is that you get a better value, but the bad news is there may be a folder you don’t like in with ones you do, and in order to get the ones you like you have to get the one you don’t! I ordered a bunch of the new Petaloo flowers. They have a wedding line coming out with white and silver jeweled florettes. Gorgeous! Also, they heard all you scrappers out there and have large daisies for your 12 x 12 pages in the most brilliant colors.  So I will be having a sale on some of my Petaloo embellishments to make room for the new stuff.

OH! I saw the new Basic Grey paper: Green at Heart, Kioshi, Capella and Max & Whiskers. The Green at Heart is a must have!! LOVE the pinks and greens. The Kioshi is all about having a Zen experience with clean lines and soft colors. Capella is for your formal layouts and Max is a really fun dog/cat theme in bright colors. I also stopped by and saw My Minds Eye new paper. The Quite Contrary line is really darling, again, in the greens and pinks, however, they don’t have the kits with this line and open stock is really hard with an online store. So I will probably just be carrying the kits. Hands down, my favorite paper is the vintage line from G45.

I think that’s it for now. I will review my blog posts and see if I missed anything. January is almost gone, so don’t forget to use your coupon.

Thanks,

Marcie

Christmas Holiday Dies and Embossing Folders

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Just wanted to mention that we still have lots of Christmas and Holiday die cuts and embossing folders at REALLY great prices.  If you go to our store: http://www.ucutathome.com/store/index.php you’ll see just a little of what we have and there is so much more if you search under the term: Christmas.

Provo Craft released some absolutely beautiful embossing folders for this Christmas. Be sure to check them out: Winter Trees, Candy Cane Stripe, Christmas Countdown, Lace Tree, Seasons Greetings, Fleur De Lis, Holly Ribbons, and much more.

Spellbinders has some wonderful Christmas die cuts too with their Poinsettia Frameability and Snowflake Impressabilities.  And of course they always have your traditional Holiday dies with a Santa, Wreath, Create A Flakes and lots more!

But if you are looking for the Largest selection of diecuts for the holidays then it would have to be Quickutz! Since they release dies every 30 days you can always have something new.  Their nesting ornaments and Santas Workshop have been HUGE hits this year and we have heard nothing but great things about these!

Then there is my personal favorite and that is ALL the pretty Christmas color flowers from Petaloo to decorate any homemade Christmas Card! With all the variety of Dazzlers and Flora Doodles it is sometimes even hard to choose, but with such a great price I’ve got them All!

Petaloo Holiday Dazzlers Just Arrived!

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

And they are spectacular! I LOVE these new Holiday Dazzlers! Petaloo has really come through with some drop dead gorgeous embellishments! The detail on the Snowmen and the Santas are really something special. The colors are vivid and festive, especially on the Holiday Brites. You will not want to have Halloween or Christmas without these Dazzlers.  But don’t take my word for it – see for yourself!

Happy Holidays!

Petaloo has arrived! WOW! These flowers and embellishments are gorgeous! Did you know nothing from Petaloo is priced over $7.99? Not only are they a stunning addition to any card or layout, but they are so affordable! Petaloo was already back ordered on some of their new holiday line, so we are only putting up what we have, but this should be enough to keep you content and happy! The rest should be here the end of the month. Here is just a sampling of some that really caught my eye. Enjoy!
