All but the new Embossing Plus folders are due to arrive this week. The Embossing Plus are due to arrive the middle of June. Happy Mother’s Day sale!

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! I hope it is sunny and warm where you are and you have a really great weekend! To honor all you mother’s we decided to extend our Spellbinders sale through Mother’s Day. We have some really great Nestabilities on sale for 30-50% off as well as other dies, and 75% off alphabets.  The Wizard Die Cutting machine is also on sale for $69.99. We still have a good selection of the alphabets, and will continue to sell them at 75% off until they are gone. The Cuttlebug machine is also on sale for $52.99. We did our homework and we have the lowest price on the Internet now, so if you think you want one, now is the time to do it! Our The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops and Tear Drops are also on clearance, as well as a lot of the Petaloo Dazzlers and Flowers.  Take a look around. I am sure you will find something you HAVE to have :-)

Have a good weekend!

NEW Cuttlebug available for pre-order!

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Take a look at the latest Cuttlebug products available for pre-order! They will begin shipping in April and May.

We have three new A2 embossing folders, five new 5×7 embossing folders and one 7″ border.

Brand new to this collection is the Embossing Plus in three different sizes: 2 x 2.75, A2 and 5 x 7!

They also come in sets with two different sizes of dies.

In case you are wondering, the Embossing Plus is a die that cuts and embosses with one pass of your die-cutting machine. This differs from the combo dies where you had to put it through your machine once to cut, then the second time to emboss. How great is that!

Also new, Provocraft has twelve inch embossing borders in three styles to choose from:

To go along with the twelve inch embossed borders, they also have the adaptor, cutting and spacer mats that measure 6 x 13″.

To see the entire new release that is available for pre-order and for more information on the product you see here, visit our pre-order page. By placing your pre-order with us, you will one of the first to receive these new Cuttlebug products! Make sure your pre-orders are on separate order forms from the items that are available.

Happy Shopping!

Home from CHA!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Well readers, I made it back from not so sunny California and have been busy getting the store ready for the new releases! Most of my vendors are shipping their new product in February. Spellbinders had a great response to all their new dies, and they had to place a second order to China while I was there. Their first shipment is going to be spread pretty thin over all their distributors and stores, and the second shipment will not be arriving until mid April. So what does this mean? You may want to consider pre-ordering if there is a die or two you HAVE to have right away. Otherwise you are taking a chance on not getting in on their first shipment.

In other news, I saw the Cricut cake. For those of you who have ever wanted to have a business of cake decorating, this is for you! It cuts fondant! I saw the most beautifully decorated cupcakes! I also saw Ellison’s new digital machine Eclips. I will have that available for pre-order soon. It will be a special order item and I will be pricing it at $399.99 (reg price $499.99). They have some new TI’s coming out which I love, as well as more dies. I saw the new Provocraft folders and dies. They are doing a bundle with this release with some of their new folders, and they won’t be sold separately. The good news is that you get a better value, but the bad news is there may be a folder you don’t like in with ones you do, and in order to get the ones you like you have to get the one you don’t! I ordered a bunch of the new Petaloo flowers. They have a wedding line coming out with white and silver jeweled florettes. Gorgeous! Also, they heard all you scrappers out there and have large daisies for your 12 x 12 pages in the most brilliant colors.  So I will be having a sale on some of my Petaloo embellishments to make room for the new stuff.

OH! I saw the new Basic Grey paper: Green at Heart, Kioshi, Capella and Max & Whiskers. The Green at Heart is a must have!! LOVE the pinks and greens. The Kioshi is all about having a Zen experience with clean lines and soft colors. Capella is for your formal layouts and Max is a really fun dog/cat theme in bright colors. I also stopped by and saw My Minds Eye new paper. The Quite Contrary line is really darling, again, in the greens and pinks, however, they don’t have the kits with this line and open stock is really hard with an online store. So I will probably just be carrying the kits. Hands down, my favorite paper is the vintage line from G45.

I think that’s it for now. I will review my blog posts and see if I missed anything. January is almost gone, so don’t forget to use your coupon.

Thanks,

Marcie

Back Ordered Cuttlebug

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Currently I have two Cuttlebug A2 Folders that are out of stock: Winter Borders and Holly Ribbons. My rep has put a rush order in at Provocraft and trying to secure me some more. If you have either of these on your order, your order is delayed. If you would like to swap this out for another folder, call or email Carrie, and she will be happy to do that for you.  Also the little Treetops 3×3 combo die is back ordered and I am trying to get more of those as well.

Thanks for your patience!

I picked up the new Cuttlebug folders today and have been busy getting all this great product on our website! Five of the folders did not arrive so my Provocraft rep is checking to see what the delay is and when they will be shipping. Here are a few of my favorites that are available for ordering:

Quickutz EPIC SIX Instructions

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

These instructions are provided for those interested in purchasing or who have already purchased the Quickutz Epic 6 Die-Cutting System to see how easy it is to use.  The main comparison to other diecutting systems that are out there would have to be the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft.  Although Quickutz Inc. states the main difference between the Provocraft Cuttlebug and the Quickutz Epic Six is the Epic 6 was made to distribute the pressure more evenly on the cutting surface so the user can get more of a clean and even cut on your dies.  I guess we’ll let you decide for yourself!

To read more about the EPIC click on link below:

Quickutz Releases Brand New Epic Six

Okay so lets get down to what the EPIC SYSTEM includes.  It includes the Epic 6 Tool, Cutting Platform, Embossing Platform, and the Cutting Mat. SEE BELOW:

Epic 6 tool

Next on the agenda is what dies can the Epic Tool cut? Unlike the Squeeze and the Revolution, the Epic cuts and embosses ALL Quickutz Dies. That’s right only one portable diecutting system for all your Quickutz die templates.  This includes 2×2 dies, 4×4 dies, embossing folders, cookie cutters, and 4×8 die alphabets.

All Quickutz Dies

Now onto How to Die Cut with the Epic.  You first will want to place your die(s) with the design of shape or letter SIDE UP on the grey cutting platform.  Next, you will want to put your scrapbooking paper over the die(s) patterned SIDE DOWN, then cover it with the epic cutting mat. (NOTE: cutting more than two sheets of paper at a time may damage your tool so don’t try it.) Third step is to feed the cutting platform into the FRONT of the Epic Tool. Spin the handle, sending the platform through the tool completely. Then remove the paper from the platform and pop out the die-cuts.

step 1 and 2 of cutting with epic  step 3 and 4 of cutting with epic

How to Emboss with the Epic.  First start with the charcoal grey embossing platform. Place paper inside the embossing folder and cover with cutting mat. Next you’ll want to feed the embossing platform into the FRONT of the Epic. Spin the handle sending the platform through the tool completely. Then remove paper from the platform and the embossing folder and you are DONE!

step1 and 2 emboss step 3 and 4 emboss

Here are some Die Cutting Tips when using the EPIC Six and other materials it can cut.  To increase the cutting pressure try adding a shim to the back of your die or an extra piece of paper to create a deeper cut.  The Epic can cut a variety of materials from vinyl to heavy cardstock for those that love making cards.  Also Quickutz adhesives like the magnet, cork boards, metal and others can also be used with this diecut machine.

Back from CHA!

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

We had a GREAT trip! Of course, things fell apart here with our server going down and Click’n Ship crashing, so Dustin and I were sorely missed :-) However, Tauna and Janeth did a beautiful job of holding things together, and by Tuesday everything was running smoothly again. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and thank you for your patience.

Our BIG news is Cut@Home won an award! When we showed up at the Spellbinders booth, we were greeted by Stacy Caron and Jerry Poffel of Spellbinders for a big ole group hug! With a glimmer in her eye, Stacy said “We have something for you.” They then presented us with the 2008 Web Retailer of the Year Outstanding Performance Award! How about that!! We were pretty thrilled to say the least. Of course, we share if with all of you, because your outstanding support of our little store made it all happen.  We placed a HUGE order for all the new Nesties – you are going to want them all! The Impressabilities are really going to rock your world when you see what you can do with those! Wendy Weixler, Spellbinders designer extraordinaire and a dedicated CAH shopper, showed us all the beautiful ways you can use these stencils. They will be available on our pre-order site soon. We also met with Terre, their customer service manager, who is really on the ball and made sure we were well taken care of. They are all working very hard to keep up with the demand they have created for the best products. They have contracted with a new fulfillment center, so they will be closing down their shipping department for  the first two weeks in February. We have a lot of inventory right now in preparation for this, but just in case there is an unpredicted run on a certain die, we may have some wait time until they are up and shipping again. Their new fulfillment center promises to be very professional and quick with their orders. As for the NEW dies, they are still expected to arrive the end of the February. They have some of the dies on a slowboat and some of the dies coming by air. By boat or plane – they are on their way! Get your pre-orders in NOW! These dies are going be even bigger than ever! We are very excited!! They also have a new mat set for their border dies and an assortment of foils. The Wizard Bag and the Die Holder, which are on our pre-order site, are also very nice and I think you will like  them a lot. They are very good quality. The pinky-purple suede is very attractive. Also, some of the S3 and S4 dies have a permanent price reduction! More ways to save and make die-cutting more affordabel during these economically challenging times. Ya gotta love it!

I met with Kirk Pead, my QuicKutz rep, who showed us all the latest and greatest from QuicKutz! I am very excited about their new line of A2 embossing folders! They are comparable to the Cuttlebug folders in size and material. They are starting out with 12 single designs and also a design of four on one 4×6 folder. I love this idea! And the price point is $4.99! We will be working on having those available on pre-order as well. Look for a spring release date. They have a new Silhouette machine and a Silhouette download club, as well as new vinyl colors. I will have more information on that at a later date. I also asked if we could extend the coupon usage for another week, so my rep is going to take that to his bosses, and hopefully I will know if they cleared that before February’s coupon comes out.

We met with Dave and Alicia at Inspired Crafts and they showed us their new packaging for the Cutterglide, which is going to be so nice! They are also packaging the Mist-it’s in a three pack, which will be great. If you have a Mist-it, then you know why you want more than one! I love Dave and Alicia’s commitment to our environment in keeping everything eco-friendly. Go green!

Roy and Diana Crick from Scor-Pal are always a delight to visit! We are pumped about their new product – 6×6 sheets of Scor-Tape! How awesome is that! You can run it through your machines with a die and have scor-tape on the back of your die! Woohoo!! We will also be carrying the 1/2″ Scortape, which, as all your papercrafters know, holds together the seams for your boxes.  Look for those on our website very soon.

Here is the news on our other vendors: As always, Boss Kut has the cutest new 2×2 dies which will be released in March and the Gazelle, their new digital die-cutter. We will have the accessories for the Gazelle very shortly. We also met with Robin and Racel from Robin’s Nest and looked at all their new Dew Drops colors! You are going to LOVE the metallics! The teal is my favorite. They also have pink and green in a flowere shape dew drop. It will take them a few weeks to get all their CHA orders shipped, so we will announce it when they have arrived and are ready for shipping.  We met with Ron, our Copic rep. The good news is he gave us permission to discount our markers 25% off MSRP, however, the MSRP did go up as of January 1st. Not by a lot, just a few dollars, but I wanted to make you aware of that, so you don’t think we are pulling a fast one by raising the price then discounting it. I know some people do that and it is their business if they do, however, my personal feeling is it is not honest, and I won’t do it. We met with Provocraft, and we know they have new A2 embossing folders coming out (we heard in June) but did not get a peek at them or get a confirmed availability date.

As for NEW product, we met with some paper companies and will be soon be carrying paper! We are very excited about that so as soon as we work out the details, we will be announcing that.We are met with Katie Renz, a very talented designer and devoted CAH shopper, and bounced some ideas around about a program we are developing for all our designer friends. GREAT things are happening here and we are excited to make all of you a part of it!

Phew! This might be my longest blog ever! I hope this information has been fun and helpful to all of you and has you as excited as I am for 2009.  It is going to be a FANTASTIC year! I have wonderful business partners, a dedicated staff, supportive vendors and the best customers ever, all who are so willing to help and advise in any way they can. I am so blessed and grateful!

Thanks!

Marcie

NEW CUTTLEBUG FOLDERS ARE HERE!

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Hi Homies!

Do you wanna know how much I love my Homies?? Tonight I drove 30 miles in 100 degree weather to meet my Provocraft distributor at the side of the road to personally pick up the new Cuttlebug Embossing Folders! Is that dedication or what?? (at least I didn’t say I walked barefoot in the snow….) I have to give a shout out to my man Karl at Scrapbook Wholesale who was crazy enough to meet me on the side of the road and made all this possible – THANKS KARL!!

It is midnight right now in Sandy Utah and I have been working for 16 straight hours today, so my Homies (yes, that’s YOU) can shop while I am at CHA! A word about the CB folders. This is only the first release. There are only 9 of them that were released today. The holiday folders will be released the first week in August. And if I have to, I will drive another 30 miles to pick up those too!

In other news, we have a FANTASTIC sale on the Quickutz Revolution Die Cutting Machine! It is at an unheard of $59.99 for four days starting tomorrow. WOWZA! We also have all the new QK dies, including 2×2, 4×4, Goosebumpz and Border dies.

We are still shipping Nest sets! We are receiving a few boxes a day so things are still moving. I have three buckets filled to the top of orders I can’t ship that need credit card numbers, so please, check your answering machines and emails! All the sets from May will be shipped by tomorrow, so if you have not received an order status change email (and it is not in your spam folder) please send us an email or give us a call.

Janeth and I are off the Chicago CHA in twelve short hours. We will be looking for new and exciting products to add to our website, plus meeting with the owners of our current vendors. Dustin and Tauna will be going it alone, so be nice to them, and be patient. I’ll be back Monday!

Nighty-night!

Marcie

Nestabilities and Provocraft updates!

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Good afternoon!

I spoke with Spellbinders and my Provocraft Distributor this afternoon.

Spellbinders: The slowboat still has not arrived, but they believe it is getting close. It should be docking the beginning of next week. As soon as it arrives, we will be one of the first Spellbinders ships to. Don’t forget we have orders to ship from May before we even start with June, so May will be shipped first. I am hoping the Acrylic Blocks, Fonts, Apron and some of the Geometrics are in that slowboat as well. Currently I have a limited number of the NEST 06 Petite Ovals Set available to ship.

Provocraft: The Swiss Dots and Birds & Twirls embossing folders are back in stock! My distributor is expecting his shipment either today or tomorrow, and he promised to ship mine the same day he received his. So we should be shipping those the middle of next week! Currently I have the following Cuttlebug Embossing Folders ready to ship: Allegro, Bloom Dots, Diamonds in the Rough, Divine Swirl, Flower Circle, Invitation, Script, Spots & Dots, Stylized Flowers, Thanks and Tiny Bubbles.

I also found out that Spellbinders is discontinuing a lot of their fonts. As soon as they know which ones, they will let me know. I will remove them from the website.

Speaking of fonts, make sure you look at the great deals I have on select Boss Kut fonts (more to come!). These fonts are equal in quality of Quickutz and work great in all the die cutting machines. If you ever have any questions on any Boss Kut dies, call Debbie at 800-874-7120 and she will gladly help you. These fonts are 50% off and a GREAT value!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Silhouette and Boss Kut Alpha Sale!

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Hi Cut@Homies!

I hope you all had a really great weekend and were able to put the “create” in recreate! I want to make sure all are aware of our sale June 10-12.

The Silhouette is already on sale for $299.99. As an added bonus, you get four FREE rolls of vinyl adhesive in all four colors if you buy the Silhouette in the next three days. A big shout out to Dan and Kirk at Quickutz for making this GREAT promotion happen. Thanks guys! A cyber high five to you both.

I am very excited about the sale on the Boss Kut alphas. If you follow my sales each week, you know I have NEVER had a sale on any Boss Kut items, so this is HUGE! For those of you who have been wanting to try Boss Kut, and were waiting for the right opportunity, THIS IS IT!!  I have three alphas on sale at 50% off and quite a few of the Expressable phrases. The Expressables are really neat because you can cut out a phrase instead of one letter at a time. What a time saver! And you can use two phrases together to really speed things up. Like “Precious Baby” or “Summer Vacation”.  I will have other Boss Kut alphas on sale the rest of this month as well, so stay tuned! They also have a bunch of new dies, so be sure to check those out as well.

Nothing new on the slowboat. If you are wanting a Nest shipping update, please go to the post before this one. I didn’t hear from my Provocraft distributor about the out of stock Birds & Swirls and Swiss Dots Embossing Folders yet. They were scheduled to arrive Friday. I will call them tomorrow and see what I can find out.  If successful, I will return and report!

Thanks!

Marcie
