Fun Cupcake Idea Using Quickutz Spring Flowers Die!

Friday, April 20th, 2012

Okay, so I admit that I don’t usually go all out for cupcakes. Most of the time they don’t last long enough around my place to even get them all frosted, so I had to be sneaky and make a batch while no one was home! I really wanted to make some fun cupcakes using Quickutz Spring Flowers die (HERE) from their Blossom Collection. Ever since I got it, I wanted to put them on cupcakes! I know….sometimes we just have funny ideas that won’t get out of our heads. Oh well! I had a blast making these and my granddaughter loved them! (I don’t know if she noticed the cute flowers and wrappers, but she did love the cupcakes!)

Products used:

Quickutz DR0297- Spring Flowers

Quickutz DC0129-Botanical Cupcake Liner

Quickutz DC0121-Cupcake Stand

Tim Holtz 92841-Grungepaper 6×12 (for stand)

DCWV PS-005-00202-Chateau Lavender Solid Cardstock Stack 12×12

Not only were they eye catching, but they tasted good and made my house smell yummy! Of coarse, I had to take a picture quick before they were devoured when everyone came home, but it was all worth it with all the fun I had! Have a great weekend!

Thanks & Happy Scrappin’!

Quickutz Big Top Dies!

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

I love going to the circus! Watching children’s faces as they watch the clowns, acrobats and the animals is entertaining all by itself! Ladies and Gentlemen, Today we are introducing QuickutzBig Top dies!

Just seeing these dies will bring back childhood memories of this mesmerizing entertainment! My favorite attractions are the Tigers and the acrobats! I watch in amazement every time I see someone with the big cats or high in the air! I’m sure I have the same curious gaze as the child sitting next to me. How do they do that?

The prices shown are the Retail Price. Remember, you can use the 40% coupon on any of these items and it goes off of the retail price. The coupon is valid on one item per month.

How fun these dies will be for summer projects! Heck, I don’t need pictures of the circus to do a fun layout with these. My life is like a crazy circus! I really want to scrapbook a baby layout using the Carousel die!

So, step right up and have some creative fun!

Thanks & Happy Scrappin’!

It’s A Die Cut Jungle Out There!

Friday, January 20th, 2012

I am thrilled that so many of you followed our Spellbinders Blog Frenzy the past eight days! We saw some really fun things and I know that you have the wheels spinning with your own ideas of what you can do with the new dies! Today, I would like to get back to items we have available now and show you some Quickutz and Sizzix dies.

I belong to a scrapbook page exchange group which by chance, consists of family and extended family members. There are currently 10 of us that meet once every three months and exchange 2 page layouts. We design one idea 10 times and once the swap is over, we have 10 different layouts! It has been a lot of fun to do this. Not only do we get the pages, but we have gained relationships that are invaluable! I love these ladies!

I have my own guest designer today! My daughter- Stacy Anderson is in the group and I wanted to show you her layout for our upcoming exchange. She has animals on her mind since she wants to redo her children’s room in monkeys and bears. Her “It’s a Jungle” layout is adorable!

She used pattern paper with a leaf pattern on one page and plain cardstock on the other.  She used the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge for the animals and title. She put each animal on a Sizzix 656931- Decorative Strip Paper Rosette and used Quickutz DC0157- Nesting Scallop Squares for her photo mats. She topped it off with leaves from  Spellbinders S4-328 Foliage.

I loved these so much that I told her that I wanted mine early so I could put them on the Blog and show all of you! They are so cute! I can’t wait to put pictures of my grandson on them. My daughter affectionately calls him her “little monkey” since (according to her) he feels like he must be swinging from her ribs!

I love incorporating dies from different manufacturers on my projects. You really have no limitations!

This wraps up a busy week for our Blog! I wish you all a wonderfully creative weekend!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! I know I did. It was hard to come back to work today with my family still there, especially since my grand daughter wanted to go with Grandma! It’s okay, they can stay home and find a place for everything while I’m gone! Have you organized your newly acquired items yet? Quickutz has the perfect storage solution for your new dies!

Quickutz Magnetic Storage Books are ideal for storing your Quickutz  Nesting dies, alphabets, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Shapeabilities, Edgeabilities  and/or Sizzix Framelits! The magnet keeps even the smallest shapes neatly in place and they fit fabulously in a bookshelf!

The interior and exterior of this slim book are solid black with a glossy QuicKutz logo on the front. Raised inner edges and a fold-over magnetic design add extra security for your dies. I absolutely love mine, and I have quite a few!

It Kits From Quickutz!

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

I am having a ball with the latest dies from Quickutz! What are It Kits you ask? It Kits are great for beginning and lifetime crafters alike. Their versatile designs allow you to used them in every season and for every kind of project. Use them to create tags, cards, party and wedding details, scrapbook pages, school projects, journals, home decor, and so much more! It Kits also include digital cutting files, so you can cut out the same shapes with a digital cutting machine!

For the following projects I mainly used the Edge It Kit, but I included a piece from the Tag It Kit on my candle.

My first project uses the Edge it Kit on a couple of my letters in my Family wood letter set.  Cut out of paper and adhere it to the letter with Mod Podge!

For my candle I used My Minds Eye Lost and Found 6 x6 Paper Pad as well as Quickutz Nesting Lace Circles for the base.

It Kits are very versatile and allow the beginner as well as the advanced paper crafter endless creative pleasure! These would  make wonderful gifts for the scrapbooker or card maker on your list! Will work will most die cutting machines!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
