May Becky Fleck Die Release-Tags And Flags

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

Can you believe it’s May already? Time once again to introduce our monthly die release! From Spellbinders is the Tags and Flags shapeabilities dies designed by Becky Fleck! Becky Fleck’s Tags and Flags set (click Here) is a monthly release to coordinate with her PageMaps 2 book, which features sketches for scrapbooks and cards.

Be on trend with Banners! Create your own with these curved pennants. Mix in a few straight-edged flags, too, for added interest! Ric Rac and Scallop borders make great accents for cards and scrapbook pages, and these two die templates go the distance – they allow you to repeat the pattern for any length! An everyday tag, designed with a curved, fancy top, completes the set.

Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies cut, emboss and stencil with a single die template.

Approximate Die Template Sizes:

Scalloped Border: 5 x 3/8″

Ric Rac: 5 x 3/16″

Ribbon Flag: 1 1/4 x 5/8″

Label: 2 1/2 x 4 1/2″

Tag: 2 1/4 x 7/8″

Pennants: 1 1/8 x 7/8″

This die set is a great one to have for summer party invites & decor, scrapbook layouts, cards…. you name it!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

How to Use M-Bossabilities in Sizzix Vagabond

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

In this video it will show you how you can use the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities in the Sizzix Vagabond inspired by Tim Holtz. The Vagabond is an electronic die cutting and embossing machine produced by Sizzix along with the help of Tim Holtz as well! The M-bossabilities for those who don’t know are dual sided embossing folders and the only ones of its kind offering you two different designs on EACH folder. To see the demos on these M-Bossabilities used in other embossing machines you can click on these links:

How to Use M-Bossabilities in Epic Six

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

This video below will show how to use the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities in the Quickutz Epic Six by Lifestyle Crafts. We have had many questions on how exactly one is to use these dies in this die cutting and embossing tool. So here you go! The embosssing folders are different as you will see because they carry two designs on EACH emboss folder giving you two options with everyone. This is a benefit for die storage and affordability. If you are looking for how to use the m-bossabilities in other machines just click below on one of the them.

You will not be able to use the cutting mat on top of the M-Bossabilities folder with this machine. If you need to use a shim of 2-3 pieces of cardstock for a deeper impression, place the shim on the bottom of the folder (between the folder and embossing plate) so they don’t get caught in the rollers.

How to Use M-Bossabilities in Cuttlebug

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

So we know how much everyone loves to use the cuttlebug embossing folders, but we thought we would show you how you can ALSO use the Spellbinders M-bossabilities in the Provo Craft Cuttlebug machine. Embossing is a lot of fun to do with cards and with the M-bossabilities in this video below you will see that these have two designs one on each side! Very easy and very fun to do!  Looking for other videos on how to use these emboss folders in other machines? Well then just click on the machine you would like to see demonostrated: Sizzix Big Shot & PRO, Quickutz Epic Six, and Vagabond electronic die cutting machine

Make sure you cut your paper or card stock that you will be using to the same size as your card front if you want it to fit the front of your card base, as you will not be able to run a full card through this machine with these folders.

How to Use M-Bossabilities in Sizzix Big Shot and PRO

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

We have compiled these few videos on how to use the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities in the Sizzix Big Shot and Big Shot PRO machines. The M-Bossabilities dies are different than other embossing folders that you may have seen. These have the ability to give you two different designs on both sides of the folder for a very affordable price. We have had many questions about this and thought of doing a video would be more simple to show you the exact process and how easy it is. We also have done videos on how to use M-Bossabilities in other machines such as the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft, Epic Six by Quickutz (now known as Lifestyle Crafts), and Vagabond by Tim Holtz. Just click on their links to see those demos.

M-Bossabilities in Sizzix Big Shot

Make sure you keep all of your tabs closed on your Big Shot platform. You will only need one cutting plate. Easy!

M-Bossabilities in Sizzix Big Shot PRO

Make sure you have purchased item 657435-Big Shot Pro Solo Platform, Shim & Wafer Thin Die Adapter, as you will need this item to use the M-Bossabilities as well as other embossing folders and wafer thin dies in the Big Shot Pro.

Feel free to leave a comment if you would like to see other demos done! You can CLICK HERE to see all M-Bossabilities by Spellbinders Paper Arts!

We’re Back From Winter 2012 CHA Show!

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Well, we’re back from CHA and I personally wish I would have missed my flight and had to stay there! It was so nice and warm in Anaheim and I woke up to snow this morning here in Utah!

The show was fabulous! I saw so many new products and ideas that my head is still swimming! I also achieved my goal of getting my picture taken with Tim Holtz! Yay! Tauna is on the right and I am on the left (your left). I told her that she may not have met Mickey Mouse but she got to meet Tim Holtz instead, and that is even better for those of us in the crafting world!

So, now that you’ve seen Tim Holtz, I can move on to what we saw at the show. This will take a few blogs, so be prepared!

Our first stop is at JustRite Stampers. I absolutelyadore their ocean themed stamps! I also love that so many of their stamps coordinate with Spellbinders dies and that they work with Spellbinders to create their own exclusive dies to coordinate their stamps! I really want to show you some of the beautiful projects their talented designers have done, so here is your virtual tour of their booth!

This last one is a great example of the Spellbinders Edgeabilities! I hope you enjoyed seeing a few these fantastic projects from the JustRite Stampers booth! They had so many, it was very difficult to choose which to show you! Check back tomorrow for more fun from CHA!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Get Ready For More CHA Releases!

Friday, January 27th, 2012

We are getting pretty excited around here for CHA Show!  Please make sure you check our site on Sunday, January 29th for more CHA Pre-Order releases from Spellbinders and more!

We don’t have a booth at the show, but we will be leaving for the show on Monday afternoon. We won’t be in the office Tuesday or Wednesday to answer the phone.  We will be checking our emails, so if you need to get in touch with us, please shoot us an email!

I can’t wait to see all of the fabulous new products that the manufacturers have come up with to help us create! They are as passionate about the products they produce as we are about the projects we make with them. There are so many wonderful things to see and learn!

I am going to hit as many demos as I can so I will be able to pass on the information to you. We’ll be shooting video and getting that on our site as quickly as possible for you to watch. Busy, busy!

I am hoping to get another picture with Tim Holtz in the Sizzix booth, because he is one of my creative heros. Let’s see…. Donna Salazar, Jennifer McGuire and Teresa Collins will be there to see too! They are my celebrities and I look up to them for creative inspiration! It is all crazy fun! (Okay, so it is work to, but I do have a fun job!)

It’s A Die Cut Jungle Out There!

Friday, January 20th, 2012

I am thrilled that so many of you followed our Spellbinders Blog Frenzy the past eight days! We saw some really fun things and I know that you have the wheels spinning with your own ideas of what you can do with the new dies! Today, I would like to get back to items we have available now and show you some Quickutz and Sizzix dies.

I belong to a scrapbook page exchange group which by chance, consists of family and extended family members. There are currently 10 of us that meet once every three months and exchange 2 page layouts. We design one idea 10 times and once the swap is over, we have 10 different layouts! It has been a lot of fun to do this. Not only do we get the pages, but we have gained relationships that are invaluable! I love these ladies!

I have my own guest designer today! My daughter- Stacy Anderson is in the group and I wanted to show you her layout for our upcoming exchange. She has animals on her mind since she wants to redo her children’s room in monkeys and bears. Her “It’s a Jungle” layout is adorable!

She used pattern paper with a leaf pattern on one page and plain cardstock on the other.  She used the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge for the animals and title. She put each animal on a Sizzix 656931- Decorative Strip Paper Rosette and used Quickutz DC0157- Nesting Scallop Squares for her photo mats. She topped it off with leaves from  Spellbinders S4-328 Foliage.

I loved these so much that I told her that I wanted mine early so I could put them on the Blog and show all of you! They are so cute! I can’t wait to put pictures of my grandson on them. My daughter affectionately calls him her “little monkey” since (according to her) he feels like he must be swinging from her ribs!

I love incorporating dies from different manufacturers on my projects. You really have no limitations!

This wraps up a busy week for our Blog! I wish you all a wonderfully creative weekend!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Want2Scrap Grand Albums Make Great Gift Ideas!

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

A while back I mentioned my great idea of giving my mother-in-law and great uncle mini albums made from Want2Scrap Grand Albums for Christmas. Well, I actually have my mother-in law’s finished (finally) and I wanted to show it to you! My great uncle’s is still in the works. I don’t have to have his done as soon.

This was so much fun to do! I know my mother-in-law will love it. She lives several hours away and we don’t get to see her as much as we would like to, so she really appreciates the pictures. She especially appreciates them already organized since she does not scrapbook what so ever!

I hope that you are all wrapping up your Christmas gifts as we only have 10 shopping days left including today!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Spellbinders Grand Impressabilities

Friday, November 4th, 2011

Many of you are familiar with Spellbinders Impressabilities, especially if you are a card maker, but have you tried the Grand Impressabilities? These are fabulous for Scrapbookers since they will emboss/deboss almost a full 8 1/2 x 11″ sheet of paper!

The Impressabilities templates will emboss, deboss, stencil, letter press and embellish all in one product.

Impressabilities embellishment templates allows crafters to effortlessly emboss or deboss the front of your scrapbook layout or add embossed or debossed accents to pre-cut shapes and letters, creating uniquely detailed embellishments.

Using micro-tip scissors, Impressabilities can also be trimmed to create custom templates for flourishes, frames, charms and more. And, when used with inks, Impressabilities templates can create elegant debossed Letter Press effects.

Here are a couple projects that I did using the Fall Splendor Grand Impressabilities which is perfect for this time of year.

I embossed a sheet of card with the Fall Splendor in my Grand Calibur then rubbed Tim Holtz Distress Ink over the top to bring out the leaves.

I also used  DC0202 Nesting Maple Leafs and the Splendid Alphabet (back ordered) from Quickutz.

This box was fun. I cut the box using Spellbinders LF-012 Square Petal Top Box then ran it through with the Fall Splendor. I used DCWV Shimmer card stock and Tim Holtz Distress Ink again to bring out the embossed images.  I finished it off with some Petaloo glitter leaves.  Fill with candy and have a great office gift!

I hope that gives you some ideas for the weekend!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Create Beautiful Gifts From Want2Scrap’s Chipboard Grand Albums!

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

I don’t know about all of you, but I was really starting to panic already about what to give my great uncle and my mother-in-law for Christmas….. until today! They are so hard to buy for because they really don’t NEED anything! I was browsing through our store trying to get some inspiration when BAM! It hit me! I will do a mini album for each of them using Want2Scrap Grand Albums! Hooray!

These albums are great because they come in the same shapes as Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Dies so it is a breeze to cover them with your favorite paper. Then, all you have to do is place your photos and embellish the pages for a unique, personalized gift that will truly be special to the one who receives it. They are fun and easy to do and most importantly-one of a kind.

My great uncle is a retired commercial artist and appreciates the thought and effort put  into handmade gifts much more than a store bought gift. My mother-in-law lives on a farm several hours from us, so she enjoys getting pictures of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The albums are a perfect gift for both of them!

I know it is only October, but I always make homemade gifts for my family and I usually have a head start on that stuff before now. This year flew by so fast that I am finding myself only beginning! I feel so much relief now that I have these two taken care of! Okay, I at least have the idea taken care of, I just need to get to work.  I am excited to get started!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!

Say It With JustRite Stampers!

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

I don’t know about you, but I can talk about just about anything until it comes to something sentimental. Especially when it is a sober occasion. I am truly at a loss for words (which is saying something!). That’s when I rely heavily on sentiment stamps! I love all of the sentiment stamps from JustRite Stampers.

They have sentiments for every occasion! from Wedding Nested Sentiments and Verse to Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse. They even have Halloween Mini Sentiments! Those will come in handy pretty soon if you are planning Halloween parties. These are a must have for invitations, treat bags,  cupcake picks, drink straws and the list can go on, and on, and on….. you get the picture. They are very multipurpose!

Other sentiments from JustRite Stampers include All Occasions Nested Sentiments and Verse, Cherish the Memories Nested Sentiments and Verse, Friendship Nested Sentiments and Verse as well as Fall and Christmas sentiments.

Another great thing about these rubber stamp sentiments is they coordinate with a variety of Spellbinders dies that used with other JustRite Stampers images, create beautiful, unique, thoughtful messages to those who mean the most to you!

I can’t tell you how many times, using sentiments like these have saved me! Instead of stumbling for words, they say what I want to say without me uttering a word,  and all I have to do is give a hug along with the message! Perfect!

It is always good to have a variety of sentiments in your stash because you never know when you  might need to use one quick!

*You will want to make sure that you have the appropriate Stamper for each stamp set. Stampers are sold separately.

Here’s a peek at what we saw from JustRite Stampers at CHA!

Thanks and Happy Scrappin’!
